1년 전의 연구실. 허생의 손이 김유라의 ID 카드를 붙들었다. 크로노스社 마크가 눈앞에서 선혈처럼 타올랐다.

**"유라 씨, 당신... 여기 소속이었어?"**

김유라는 허생의 손을 뿌리치며 뒤로 물러섰다. 그녀의 눈빚은 낯선 경계심으로 가득했다.

**"국정원 요원이 크로노스社와 협력한다는 건 상식 밖이야. 당신은 대체 누구지?"**

머릿속에서 아테나의 경고음이 울렸다.

허생이 이빨을 깨물었다. *'이미 변했어. 이제 되돌릴 수 없어.'*

갑자기 연구실 문이 열리며 박진우 교수가 뛰어들었다. 그의 손에는 양자 신호 추적기가 들려 있었다.

**"허생! 이 시간대의 유라는 크로노스社의 *시작품*이야. 그녀의 기억은 조작됐다!"**

허생의 심장이 내리꽂혔다. 유라가 총알을 맞으며 흘린 피, 그때의 고통스러운 표정이 겹쳐 보였다.

허생이 양자 암호키를 꺼내들었다.

김유라가 그를 붙잡았다. 그녀의 손이 허생의 팔목에서 떨리고 있었다.

화면에 크로노스社의 새 로고가 번졌다.

아테나의 경고음이 절망적으로 울렸다.

허생이 김유라의 손을 꼭 잡았다.

**"다시 시작할게. 네가 원하는 미래를 만들 거야."**

김유라가 힘없이 옷었다.

**"바보... 이번엔 내가 너를 지킬게."**

창 밖으로 크로노스社의 거대한 양자 타워가 우뚝 서 있었다.

The lab a year ago. Heo's hand clutched Kim Yura's ID card. The Kronos mark burned like blood before his eyes.

**"Ms. Yura, you... Did you work here?"**

Kim Yura shook off Heo San's hand and stepped back, her eyes filled with an unfamiliar wariness.

**"It's not common knowledge that a NIS agent would work with Kronos. Who the hell are you?”

Athena's warning beeped in her head.

Hersheng gritted his teeth. *'I've already changed, there's no turning back now.'*

Suddenly, the door to the lab burst open and Prof. Jinwoo Park rushed in, a quantum signal tracker in his hand.

**“Heo Sheng, the Yura of this time is a *project* of Kronos, and her memories have been altered!”**

The hallway of the underground research building. Heo-Sung peered into Professor Park's laptop. The screen flashed with data from Kim Yura's brain scan.

**“Kronos split her consciousness with quantum superposition technology. She's only a *shadow* of the original now.”**

Heero's heart sank. He saw the blood Yura had spilled from the bullet, and the pained expression on her face.

**[From: Steel Min] “History is more fun to rewrite than to overwrite. What you saved is not the real Yura."**

As soon as the text disappeared, the wall cracked open, revealing a hologram of Chul-min, his left eye replaced by a mechanical binocular.

**"Kronos has already *seeded* all time zones, and the Kim Yu-Ra you know... She's always been on our side."**

He Xiang pulled out the quantum encryption key.

**“Athena, find the coordinates of Yura's original consciousness, and we'll tear this time loop apart.”**

**[Athena: Quantum signal locked on 7th dimensional intersection, 68% chance of *observer fusion* upon approach.]**

The seventh dimensional intersection was a rift in space-time. Hersheng reached toward the wall with his specially designed quantum gloves. The air shattered like glass and blinding light burst forth.

**“Heo-seng, stop!”**

Kim Yura grabbed him, her hand trembling at his wrist.

**"I'll... I'll make you remember. The words you shouted back then, when I blocked the bullet."**

He Xiang's eyes dilated. *“The Yura of the past has memories of the present?”*

**[Athena: Warning! Detecting memory regurgitation due to quantum interference.]**

Tears welled up in Kim Yura's eyes.

**“You asked me for *time*, and now I know what you meant.”**

Chul-min's laughter shook the room.

**"So much for the romantic reunion scene. It's *game over*, Heo-sung."**

Kronos' quantum bomb was fired toward the seventh dimensional intersection. Heo-Sang staggered back, hugging Kim Yura.

**“Will you believe me? I'm going to save you for real.”**

Kim Yura's hand brushed He Xiang's cheek.

**"Your eyes are always looking into the future... Now look at me."**

Athena overloaded the system.

As the shockwave of the explosion approached, Hersheng covered Kim Yura's lips. With a sound that ripped through time, they were sucked into the light.
