어릴 때는 많은 꿈을 꾸며 살아간다. 불가능은 없을 것 같고 부정보다는 긍정을 절망보다는 희망을 더 가까이 하며 지낸다. 하고 싶은 것도 궁금한 것도 많다. 하지만 어른이 되어가면서 꿈을 포기하게 되고, 현실에 안주하며, 꿈을 목표로 현실을 맞추는게 아니라 현재의 모습에 자신의 꿈을 맞추는 행동을 하게 된다. 나에게 가장 잘 맞는 옷이 무엇인지도 모르는 것과 나에게 가장 잘 맞는 옷이 무엇인지 알면서도 그 옷을 입지 않는 것. 둘 다 스스로의 삶을 방임하는 것이다.
인생에 분명한 목표를 가지고 있지 않는 사람에게 삶을 불평할 자격이 있을까.

And, as the camel driver had said, to die tomorrow was no worse than dying on any other day. Every day was there to be lived or to mark one's departure from this world. Everything depended on one word: "Marktub"

Don't think about what you've left behind.
