What is the K-ETA?
The Korea Electronic Travel Authorization is for visa-free foreign visitors who want to enter South Korea. It is a newly introduced visa directed to 112 countries that concluded an agreement with the Republic of Korea. You should apply to the K-ETA 24hours before your departure date, and It costs ₩10,000 (around $8). Please, don't forget to renew your passport before as it is essential to apply to the K-ETA.
For how long?
The K-ETA is valid for 2 years from the day of the authorization. This means you can go back and forth to Korea whenever you want until the end. Be mindful of one piece of information: you can't stay for longer than 3 months (90 days) in a row. Therefore, you have to leave Korea after the 3 months period and come back again for 3 months. You can do it whenever you want during these 2 years.
How to apply?
Capture from K-ETA wbsiteTo apply for a K-ETA, you just have to go to their official website: https://www.k-eta.go.kr/portal/apply/index.do?locale=EN, and click "Apply for K-ETA". Then, you have to fill out some information about yourself and the reasons you are visiting Korea. When everything is complete, you will receive a mail within 24 hours with the results which can be checked whenever you want on the website or the mobile app.
