Before entering the bridge of freedom you will be greeted by an old steam locomotive that tells a part of its story in the Korean War. With the steam locomotive getting more rusted over time the impact of the Korean War and its results are still visible, its frame pierced multiple times with bullets.

The entrance fee for the bridge is 2000₩ and it grants you access to an observatory where you can see the freedom bridge as well as the mountain that is located in North Korea. After purchasing your ticket you will walk through a train cabin with screens that are displayed as windows of how it looked like back when there was a train connection available between South and North Korea, as well as messages from people all over the world hoping for unification one day.

Walking around you will see several monuments and commemorations to the ones who contributed to and helped South Korea. There is even a small theme park called Pyeonghwa Land that lets children have fun and seeing the smiling children will warm up your heart. Additionally, you can see the Pyeonghwa Nuri Peace park. A park where people can get together and enjoy performances, there are some exhibits set up to display the future hope of unification.
