Upcoming Festivals in Korea

Korea has many genres that are well known all over the world such as K-R&B, K-hip hop, ballad, and last but not least, K-POP. Korea is also known for hosting big music festivals throughout the years however with the situation over the past couple of years it has been quiet. With restrictions mostly lifted and the normal coming back in full swing, music festivals are slowly making a comeback as well.
The first big one that is making a comeback is Waterbomb Festival. Waterbomb is a music festival that involves water fights against the opponent team. Artists are split between 2 teams and you are able to buy tickets to be on the same team as your favorite artists. The ultimate goal is just to have fun and listen to music whilst getting drenched. With confirmed locations in Seoul, Suwon, Daegu, and Incheon it is one of the festivals that people are trying to score a ticket for. Line up currently consists of renowned artists such as Zico, CL, Jay Park, Sunmi and many more to be announced. Because of the popularity of the festival all tickets for all 3 days (24 June - 26 June) in Seoul seems to be sold out at the moment. Keep your eyes out for their socials to be up to date if they decide to release more tickets.

Secondly, Seoul Jazz Festival is a jazz festival that is annually being held in Seoul. Spanning over 3 days (27 May - 29 May), prominent artists such as Pink Sweat$, and many others are performing at the jazz festival in 2022. Tickets are currently sold out as well due to the popular demand.

Marking its first time coming to Korea, S2O Songkran Music Festival originated in Thailand and is a festival where DJs from all over the world come to display their electronic music. With almost the same concept as Waterbomb, S2O is where you can enjoy EDM and where they are supposedly releasing hundreds of liters of water into the crowd to cool off the summer heat. Currently, the lineup is being released one by one but expect popular DJs to come to the festival. 2-day passes are currently sold-out however, there is plenty of 1 day passes available for 9 July and 10 July.
