그의 발로 절름발이 늑대는

털 많은 구름 속으로 내몰린 도끼를 어루만지네

그는 그녀의 호리호리한

향그러운 떡갈나무 몸통에 키스하네

그리고 그녀의 두 은빛 뺨에

그리고 그녀의 무적의 칼날에

그리고 그 자신을 쪼개네

두 개의 살아있는 절반으로

한 절반은 땅 아래에 쉬러 오네

다른 절반은 하늘로 날아오르네

땅과 하늘 사이

중간 어딘가에

그의 광대한 백열(白熱)의 심장이 남겨져 있네

새 붉은 별 하나가 빛나고 있네

그곳의 거주자들을 기다리며

With his paws the lame wolf strokes the axe

Driven into the hairy cloud

He kisses her slender body

Of fragrant oak

And her two silver cheeks

And her invincible blade

And cleaves himself

Into two living halves

One half comes to rest below earth

The other flies up to heaven

Somewhere in the middle

Between earth and heaven

His vast incandescent heart is left

A new red star is shining

Waiting for its inhabitants
