윤석열 대통령이 ‘북핵 세계평화 위협’이라며 한국전쟁에 대해 ‘공산세력 자유대한민국 침략’으로 규정해 중국 러시아와 대립을 강화했다.
윤 대통령은 6일 현충일 추념사에서 한국전쟁에 대해 “공산세력의 침략으로부터 자유대한민국을 지킨 호국영령”으로 ‘자유주의’와 ‘공산주의’ 전쟁으로 규정했다.
윤 대통령은 이날 추념사로 "북한의 핵·미사일은 한반도는 물론 동북아와 세계 평화를 위협하는 수준에 이르고 있다"며 "국립서울현충원에는 대한민국 독립을 위해 투쟁한 순국선열과 공산세력의 침략으로부터 자유대한민국을 지킨 호국영령들, 그리고 목숨을 바쳐 국민의 생명을 지킨 분들이 함께 잠들어 계시다"고 말했다.
윤 대통령은 특히 "북한의 핵과 미사일 위협을 억제하면서 보다 근본적이고 실질적인 안보 능력을 갖추어 나갈 것"이라 말해, ‘북한 위협 억제’를 공식화했다.
윤 대통령은 앞서 광주 5.18 기념사에서 “우리는 42년 전 자유민주주의와 인권의 가치를 피로써 지켜낸 오월의 항거를 기억하고 있다. 그날의 아픔을 정면으로 마주하면서 우리는 이 땅에 자유민주주의를 발전시켜 왔다”며 “자유민주주의와 인권의 가치는 우리 국민을 하나로 묶는 통합의 철학이다. 그러므로 자유민주주의를 피로써 지켜낸 오월의 정신은 바로 국민 통합의 주춧돌”이라며, 광주민주화운동을 자유주의 발생지로 밝혔다.
장쥔(張軍) 유엔주재 중국대사는 지난달 26일 "한반도 문제를 어떻게 해결하느냐는 안보리의 신규 결의안 채택 여부와 관련이 없다. 관건은 누군가 한반도 문제 대응을 이른바 '인도·태평양 전략'의 장기짝으로 쓰려고 한다는 것"이라며 "만약 누군가 동북아시아와 한반도에 전쟁의 불길을 퍼뜨리고자 한다면 중국 또한 단호한 조치를 취할 수밖에 없다"고 북핵에 대한 안보리 추가 결의에 거부권을 행사했다.

President Yoon defined the Korean War as a war between ‘liberalism’ and ‘communism’ as “a heroic spirit that protected a free Republic of Korea from aggression by communists” in his memorial service on Memorial Day on the 6th.
"North Korea's nuclear weapons and missiles are reaching a level that threatens peace not only on the Korean Peninsula, but also in Northeast Asia and the world," President Yun said in his remembrance speech. The heroic spirits of the country who protected the country and those who sacrificed their lives to protect the lives of the people are sleeping together,” he said.
In particular, President Yoon formalized the 'North Korean threat deterrence', saying, "We will continue to equip ourselves with more fundamental and practical security capabilities while deterring North Korea's nuclear and missile threats."
President Yoon previously said in his Gwangju May 18 commemoration address, “We remember the protests of May 42 years ago, when the values of liberal democracy and human rights were defended with blood. Facing the pain of that day head-on, we have developed liberal democracy in this land. Therefore, the spirit of May, which defended liberal democracy with blood, is the cornerstone of national unity.”
On the 26th of last month, Chinese ambassador to the UN, Zhang Jun, said, "How to resolve the Korean Peninsula issue has nothing to do with whether or not the Security Council adopts a new resolution. "If anyone wants to spread the flames of war in Northeast Asia and the Korean Peninsula, China will have no choice but to take decisive measures," he said.
