윤석열 ‘거짓 정보 싸워야’ 트럼프 ‘가짜뉴스 민주당 협력’

윤석열 대통령이 미 의회에 ‘허위 선동 거짓 정보와 싸워야’로 연설했고, 트럼프 전 대통령은 2년전 ‘가짜뉴스 민주당과 협력’으로 성명을 냈다.

윤 대통령은 “세계 도처에서 허위 선동과 거짓 정보가 민주주의 위협하고 있다”며, “민주주의 운동가 인권 운동가 위장“에 대해 ”거짓 위장 세력에 의해 무너지지 않도록 우리 모두 힘을 합쳐 용감하게 싸워야 한다“고 미 의회 의원들에게 27일 요구했다.윤 대통령은 ”미 의회는 234년 동안 자유와 민주주의의 상징이었다“며 ”정체를 숨기고 위장하는 (중략) 이런 은폐와 위장에 속아서는 안 된다. 허위 선동과 거짓 정보로 대표되는 반지성주의는 민주주의 위협할 뿐 아니라 법의 지배마저 흔들고 있다. 이들 전체주의 세력은 자유와 민주주의를 위협하고 부정하면서도 마치 자신들이 민주주의 운동가, 인권 운동가인 양 정체를 숨기고 위장하는 경우가 대부분“이라고 시민단체 인권단체 등을 ‘거짓정보’ 근거지로 지목했다.

도널드 트럼프 전 대통령(공화당)은 2021년 5월 6일 성명으로 "가짜 뉴스 미디어는 빅테크, 급진좌파 민주당과 긴밀히 협력하면서, 2020년 대선 부정행위에 대해 말할 때 '큰 거짓말(The Big Lie)'이라는 단어를 영속화하려고 모든 것을 다하고 있다"며 "2020년 대선이 큰 거짓말이었다는 점에서 그들의 말은 옳지만, 그들이 의미하는 바는 아니다"고 밝혔다.

대선 결과 불복을 이어가던 트럼프 전 대통령은 ‘가짜뉴스’ 발언에서 "2020년 선거는 많은 주(미국 헌법에 따라 요구되는)의 입법 승인조차 받지 못한 채, 또한 부패했던, 정말 큰 거짓말이었다"고 ‘부정선거’를 지적하지 않은 미국 주류 언론들을 ‘가짜 뉴스’로 지목하고 선거 승리자인 민주당을 ‘가짜뉴스 협력자’로 밝혔다.

윤 대통령은 인권운동가 위장에 대해 “전체주의 세력은 자유와 민주주의를 위협하고 부정하면서도 마치 자신들이 민주주의 운동가, 인권 운동가인 양 정체를 숨기고 위장하는 경우가 대부분”이라며 “허위 선동과 거짓 정보”에 대응해 “법의 지배마저 흔들고, 전체주의 세력은 자유와 민주주의를 위협 부정하면서”라는 이유로 미 의회 의원들에게 “우리 모두 힘을 합쳐 용감하게 싸워야 한다”고 연설했다.

윤 대통령은 미 의회 연설에서 “대한민국은 미국과 함께 세계시민의 자유를 지키고 확장하는 ‘자유의 나침반’ 역할을 해나갈 것”이라며 “북한 주민에게 자유를 전달하는 의무를 게을리 해서는 안 된다”고 북한에 ‘자유 확산’을 미 의원들에게 요구했다.

윤 대통령은 전날 바이든 대통령(민주당)과 공동성명으로 <한미 양국은 보편적 인권, 자유, 법치 수호에 대한 공동의 공약에 기반하여 미래세대에게 번영과 안보를 위한 확고한 기반을 제공할 동맹을 구축해 나가고 있다>며 <인도-태평양 지역의 평화와 번영의 핵심축인 한미동맹은 민주주의, 경제적 번영, 안보, 기술혁신을 증진하는 데 있어서의 글로벌 리더로서 양국의 필수적인 역할을 반영하면서 한반도를 훨씬 넘어 성장해 왔다>고 한미 공동가치에 ‘민주주의’를 명시 서명했다.

윤 대통령이 서명한 지난해 5월 정상회담 공동성명은 ‘자유’가 배제된 ‘민주주의’가 공동의 가치이다. 주요 대목은 다음과 같다,

<윤석열 대통령과 바이든 대통령은 한미동맹이 심도 있고 포괄적인 전략적 관계로 성숙해 왔다는 인식을 공유한다. 역동적인 양 국민 간의 긴밀한 유대, 광범위한 경제 및 투자 연계, 그리고 민주주의, 인권 및 규범에 근거한 국제질서에 대한 공약을 통해, 한국과 미국은 어떠한 도전에도 대응하고 양국 앞에 놓인 모든 기회를 포착해낼 수 있는 관계로 나아가고 있다.>

<양 정상은 또한 공동의 민주주의 원칙과 보편적 가치에 맞게 기술을 개발, 사용, 발전시킬 것을 약속하였다.>

<양 정상은 민주주의와 규범에 기반한 국제 질서 촉진, 부패 척결 및 인권 증진이라는 양국 공동의 가치에 확고하게 뿌리내리고 있는 한미 간 글로벌 포괄적 전략동맹에 대한 서로의 의지를 재확인하였다.>

<양 정상은 러시아의 추가적인 공격을 억제하기 위해 양국이 취한 각자의 조치들의 효과적 이행을 보장하고, 주권과 영토 보전의 원칙에 대한 우리의 공약을 유지할 것을 확인하였다.>

미국은 1791년 수정헌법 제1조 ‘종교, 출판, 표현의 자유’를 “의회는 언론(speech)의 자유나 출판(press)의 자유를 제한하는 법령을 제정할 수 없다. 의회는 불평(grievances)의 제거를 위해 정부에 청원(petition)하거나 평화롭게 집회(people peaceably to assemble)를 할 수 있는 권리를 제한하는 법령을 제정할 수 없다”고 절대적 자유로 명시했다. kimjc00@hanamil.net

These totalitarian forces threaten and deny freedom and democracy, but in most cases hide and disguise their identities as if they were democracy activists and human rights activists,” he pointed out civic groups and human rights groups as the bases of “false information.”

Former President Donald Trump (Republican Party) said in a May 6, 2021 statement, "The Fake News Media, working closely with Big Tech and the Radical Left Democrats, is calling 'The Big Lie' when talking about 2020 election fraud." "They are right in that the 2020 presidential election was a big lie, but that's not what they mean."

Former President Trump, who continued to disapprove of the results of the presidential election, said in his remarks on 'fake news', "The 2020 election was a really big lie that did not even receive legislative approval from many states (required by the US Constitution) and was also corrupt." It pointed out the US mainstream media that did not point out the fraudulent election as 'fake news' and identified the Democratic Party, the winner of the election, as a 'fake news collaborator'.

Regarding the disguise of human rights activists, President Yoon said, "In most cases, totalitarian forces threaten and deny freedom and democracy, but hide and disguise their identities as if they were democracy activists and human rights activists." He gave a speech to members of the U.S. Congress saying, “We must all join forces and fight bravely,” because “even shaking the rule of law and denying that totalitarian forces threaten freedom and democracy.”

In a speech to the U.S. Congress, President Yoon said, “The Republic of Korea, along with the U.S., will play the role of a ‘compass of freedom’ that protects and expands the freedoms of citizens around the world.” urged U.S. lawmakers to “spread freedom.”

In a joint statement with President Biden (Democratic Party) the previous day, President Yoon made a joint statement <Korea and the United States are building an alliance that will provide a solid foundation for prosperity and security to future generations based on a common commitment to universal human rights, freedom, and the protection of the rule of law. “As a key pillar of peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region, the ROK-US Alliance has grown far beyond the Korean Peninsula, reflecting the vital role of both countries as global leaders in promoting democracy, economic prosperity, security, and technological innovation.” > Signed 'democracy' explicitly in Korea-U.S. Common Values.
