A New Fresh Routine on Wed

A New Routine for a Fresh Start on Wednesday (04/02/2025)

How do you feel today?

I feel a bit heavy, but I will definitely follow through with my new routine as planned today.

What do you want to do today?

Reading, exercising, and practicing becoming the person I admire in the future.

Good:

I've been finishing my exercise routine as early as possible these days, and it seems like I'm settling into a new pattern. Through this experience, I'm beginning to realize that every time is different and that life unfolds in various environments. You're doing well!

Bad:

Once again, I realize that the quality of sleep determines the quality of the day. I intentionally set an alarm and tried to get 8 hours of sleep for two days, but I noticed a decrease in my overall condition and productivity. So, starting today, I will turn off all alarms and let my body sleep as much as it naturally needs. I'll see how my condition changes tomorrow morning.

Today's Learning:

In Stoic philosophy, propatheia (primary impressions) is defined as emotions that humans instinctively feel, which occur before any judgment is made. For example, sudden anger is an uncontrollable propatheia, but before this emotion leads to actions, we can introduce judgment and choose a more positive response. Psychologist Viktor Frankl said, “Between stimulus and response, there is a space, and in that space, we have the power to choose our response,” emphasizing that this moment of judgment is what determines personal growth and freedom.

The right judgment is making choices that align with our core values, and to do this, it’s important to ask ourselves, “Is this action something I would be proud of an hour from now?” Instead of reacting immediately when events occur, we can use the space of judgment to regulate our emotions, transforming emotional reactions into rational choices.

Epictetus said, “One cannot be harmed by being beaten or insulted; it is the belief that one has been harmed that causes harm,” suggesting that how we interpret and respond to events is more important than the events themselves. Seneca also said, “A good person colors all things with their own hue and makes everything work out for their benefit,” seeing life’s quality as being shaped by our interpretations of events. Ultimately, unexpected events in life are inevitable, but it is our choice whether to turn them into heroic stories or negative experiences.

Today's Insight:

Reflecting on Stoic philosophy, I wonder if I can regulate propatheia well. These instinctive emotions occur naturally and can’t be fully controlled, but how we interpret and respond to them is a choice that shapes our character and maturity.

Therefore, I should always ask myself, “Will I be proud of this action an hour from now?” However, when something provocative happens, this question doesn’t always come to mind immediately. So, instead, I want to ask, “Do I need to say something right now? Am I not in a calm state?” Controlling anger is possible only in the moment, but expressing it can happen an hour later, a month later, or even a year later. It’s important to control and endure the emotion in the moment, and if it’s still unbearable later, I should express it calmly and rationally.

This mindset is my ideal, and lately, I have been reflecting on this more deeply. But even as I repeatedly test and commit to myself, I often find myself repeating the same mistakes. It sometimes feels like returning to square one, but I continue to write, reflect, and find solutions, always feeling that I’m growing little by little, even in the midst of these repetitions.

There is no stronger force in the world than purity. Never tell even the smallest lie; always be pure, kind, polite, humble, calm, and genuine.

Gratitude Note:

I am truly grateful that today I can start the day in good health and refreshment, filling it with the things I want to do.

Today's Enjoyment:

Today's one thing: Add an outdoor activity (Hotel or Home).

Keyword: Daily contemplation, thinking, writing = Continuous improvement = Clear thoughts, identifying obstacles, evaluating, observing thoughts = Meditations / Repetition of thinking concepts = Failure improvement = Self-training = Core legacy for self and others = Great companions = Closing the gap between who I am and who I want to be = Evidence of change.

Condition & Physical Management:

Sleep:

8 hours (5-1)

Sleep quality (Good), Skin (Good), Physical condition (Good), Emotional state (Good), Productivity (Good), Efficiency (Good), Creativity (Good).

For better sleep quality, condition, and skin, I must maintain regular body massages and half-body baths.

A detox day at least once a week should be maintained.

Exercise and Diet:

Ultimate goal: Complete in 30 minutes = Dopamine spike. Today, I will absolutely avoid isolation and focus on compound movements with light weights, engaging multiple muscles, and incorporating cardio.

Lower body (hip contraction) - Lower body (hip, hamstring stretch) - Upper body (back) - Upper body (shoulders, triceps, biceps) - Overall muscles & cardio compound exercises.

A master can always deal with any situation calmly, and an elite creates an environment where calmness is possible.

Let's exercise for the sake of condition, not just for the exercise itself.

This Week's Goal:

Spend Friday at the Four Seasons.

April Goal:

Spend at least one day a week at the Four Seasons.

2025 Goal:

Become a person with pure soul, kindness, courtesy, humility, calmness, dignity, and sincerity like Irene, by training for character growth. Increase outdoor activities, change time, people, and spaces, and become a billionaire.

Training:

Act as if you have already achieved it – today is a time to practice becoming your future self. Flow naturally, like water. True love is the art of not using techniques. True conversation is the art of not using techniques. The thoughts I am having now are what shape my current self. If I can’t enjoy something, it's a sign that something is going wrong. Where I am now is where my future lies. Do not let my energy be scattered in useless things; focus on one thing only. Routine is the sacred act of finding the optimal simplicity through trial and error. A greeting is done with the whole body. My mindset is my posture. Silence, moderation, immersion.
