Being neutral

There are two sides to every story.

I always strive to maintain a neutral position

when listening to differing opinions.

One day, I observed two colleagues from our team engaged in a serious argument.

I couldn’t help but watch them while working, wondering what had caused their dispute.

Afterward, I heard about the incident from each person involved.

Surprisingly, they offered differing perspectives on the matter.

Despite one of the colleagues being close to me,

I refrained from making judgments,

recognizing that it wouldn’t be fair to take sides.

Nevertheless, I found myself leaning towards

the perspective of the colleague who is close to me.

Based on my knowledge of her character,

I believe she is not the type to intentionally harm others.

Additionally, the other person has a history of conflicts with other coworkers.

Remaining neutral is challenging for me,

so I typically avoid getting involved in situations

that could potentially cause trouble at work.
