고독한 햇살

The solitary sunlight

이른 새벽 눈을 뜨면

창가에 앉는다.

창으로 스며드는 햇살이 속삭인다,

어젯밤 눅눅했던 마음을 말리고,

거실에 서린 차가움을 온기로 덮어주리라.

솔잎 하나 둘 흘러내리며,

골목을 감싸는 바람의 숨결이 들린다.

그 바람은 다짐했으리라,

일평생 누군가를 이롭게 하겠노라고

그 조용한 약속이 쓸쓸히 들려온다.

At dawn, I open my eyes

and sit by the window.

The early sunlight beckons,

touching the damp corners of last night’s heart,

promising to dry what lingers,

to warm the chill that settled in the room.

A soft sound, as pine needles drift down one by one,

whispers of a gentle breeze that turns this alley.

In its solitude, it has vowed to serve,

its quiet resolve a murmur that humbles me—

its silent promise to ease the world,

to brush against us softly,

then disappear.
