In tribute to Natalie - "Miss You Like Crazy"
이 노래는 - 아마도 모르시겠지만 모두 이런 류의 추억은 하나씩은 있겠지요? 1990년 NY Flushing 에서 살던 때, 그 애에게 어떤 말을 하려다가 못 하고 그냥 돌아온 밤, Sanford Avenue & Parsons Blvd 가 내려다 보이는 제 방 창문밖을 바라보며 듣던 기억이 있는 노래랍니다. 이런 적도 있었지요. 노래와 추억의 association 은 향기와 추억의 association 만큼이나 강한 듯 합니다.
Natalie Cole 은 그녀의 아버지인 Nat King Cole 만큼 유명하지는 않았지만 Whitney Houston 과 같은 급에 있었던 가수였습니다. 이 노래 외에 "Starting Over Again" 이란 노래도 상당히 아름답지요. 진한 cafe latte 같은 느낌의 맛을 느낄 수 있는 이 분의 많은 노래들 중 이 노래를 "Starting Over Again" 보다 아주 조금 더 좋아해서 올립니다. 가사는 매우 쉽습니다. 그리고 노래가 노래다웠던 시절의 말미를 장식한 좋은 노래이기도 합니다.
