내가 좋아하는 노래들
아주 오래된 노래지요? 1980년에 세상에 나온 "Hey" 입니다. Julio Iglesias 는 스페인의 가수로, 작사작곡가, 가수 그리고 풋볼 선수로도 활동하셨던 분이지요. Internet 이 없던 시절이고 영어가 아닌 스페인어로 된 노래가 세계 곳곳으로 퍼져나간 경우를 찾기 힘들 정도로 이 노래는 대단했습니다.
번역을 보면 이 노래는 사랑노래이고 이별노래랍니다. 남자의 관점에서 쓴 노래로, 마치 Simon and Garfunkel 의 "Scarborough Fair" 를 연상시키는 가사지요. 노래 도입부시 현악기의 아름다운 선율로부터 이 노래는 듣는 사람을 매료시킵니다. 가사를 몰라도, 노래가 사랑/이별노래라는 것을 알고 나머지는 그저 상상만 하더라도 충분히 이해가 되는 듯 한 착각에 빠지게 하는 명곡이지요.
아래는 Julio Iglesias 가 부른 version 이고, 그 아래는 누군가가 영상을 만들어 노래와 합친 version 인데, 저는 두번째 version 이 참 마음에 듭니다. 조금은 sensual 한 이 영상을 보고 있으면 스페인 어디선가는 이런 사람들이 이렇게 살고 있을지도 모른다는 상상도 하게 되더군요.
