2016 2017 2020
I can't forget the scenery of Seooreung Royal Tombs in the early morning of January 2016, when Jeongjagak Pavilion beyond Hongsalmun were invisible because thick fog caused low visibility. With fog hiding the ordinary, the Garden of the Gods I imagined was revealed.
I was pressing the shutter rather frantically to capture as many pictures of the mysterious views unfolded in front of me as possible before the fog lift. A senior pedestrian asked me, "I can't see anything. What in the world are you filming?" I replied, "I'm taking it because I can't see it."
There is a landscape that can be seen only when your eyes are covered by fog. It's a beauty that you can see more when you see less.
