신인합일 (神人合一)
Beings united with the divine
우리는 정기신으로 신인합일(神人合一)된 존재다.
신기정 순으로 육체를 부여받았고,
죽는 순간 정기신 순으로 육체를 벗어나 영혼으로 돌아간다.
영혼의 무수한 개체는 각기 다른 개성을 지니지만
결국은 한 빛에서 나왔다. 즉 하나님의 빛에서 나온 것이다.
성경에서의 하나님은 하나님과 닮은 꼴로 우리를 창조하였다고 한다.
창세기 1장 26-27절 :
26 하나님이 이르시되 우리의 형상을 따라 우리의 모양대로 우리가 사람을 만들고 그들로 바다의 물고기와 하늘의 새와 가축과 온 땅과 땅에 기는 모든 것을 다스리게 하자 하시고 27 하나님이 자기 형상 곧 하나님의 형상대로 사람을 창조하시되 남자와 여자를 창조하시고
창세기 5장 1절:
아담 자손의 계보는 이러하니라 하나님이 사람을 창조하실 때에 하나님의 형상대로 지으시되
우리는 하나님의 성품과 속성을 반영하는 존재로 창조되었음을 의미한다. 정확한 해석으로는 우리의 세계에서 우리가 즉 하나님이라는 것이다. 이러한 표현을 명확히 하신 분이 예수님이다.
요한복음 8:58: "예수께서 이르시되 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 아브라함이 나기 전부터 내가 있느니라 하시니" - '내가 있느니라' (ἐγὼ εἰμί, Ego Eimi)는 구약에서 하나님을 지칭하는 표현(출애굽기 3:14)과 동일한 표현으로, 예수님께서 하나님이심을 말한다. 이 말씀으로 인해 유대인들은 예수님을 신성모독으로 여기고 돌로 치려고 했다.
요한복음 10:30: "나와 아버지는 하나이니라 하시니" - 예수님과 하나님 아버지의 본질적인 하나 됨을 선언하는 말씀이다. 이 말씀 역시 유대인들의 반발을 사서 결국 십자가에 못 박히셨다.
사람들은 예수님을 하나님으로 여기지만 예수님의 참 뜻은 우리 모두가 하나님의 아들이며 우리만의 세계에서는 우리가 신임을 내포하고 있다. 특히 너와 나의 관계의 구분 없이 '모두가 하나' 그리고 '모두가 하나님의 백성'이라는 표현을 쓴다. 예수님이 너와 나의 구분이 없었던 것은 모두가 그들의 우주, 그들의 세상에서는 그들이 하나님이기 때문이다.
마태복음 25장 40절:
내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 너희가 여기 내 형제 중에 지극히 작은 자 하나에게 한 것이 곧 나에게 한 것이니라 하시고
신일합일에 대한 이야기를 하는 이유는 진정 나의 세계에서 내가 주인이 되지 않으면 안 되기 때문이다. 종교가 없는 대부분의 많은 사람들이 종교에 대한 거부감을 갖는 이유는 와닿지 않는 부분을 맹목적으로 믿음을 가지라고 하기 때문이다. 자기 자신의 세계관이 우주의 전부이며, 그 세계관을 넓혀가는 것으로 성장이 있고 발전이 있다. 그래서 들을 준비가 안된 이들에게 듣게 하는 것이야 말로 의미가 없는 것이다.
신일합일이야 말로 성장의 최종적인 완성이다. 이는 인품을 넘어 도품을 가지고 살며, 그 도품을 넘어 신품을 가지는 것을 의미한다. 신과 완벽히 하나 되는 삶. 제한이 없는 삶. 충만함과 기쁨. 선한 의지로 세상을 아름답게 바꾸는 것. 자연과 닮은 하나님처럼 사는 것. 진정한 행복은 자기완성에 있다. 그 자기완성의 목표는 각자의 우주 속에서 아름답게 펼쳐진다.
신일합일에 이르는 방법은 유일하지 않다. 이미 신일합일이 되어 있어 깨달음과 임재의 생활화를 통해 인식을 확장해 나갈 수 있다. 또한 이 개념을 확장하여 차원이 다른 신일합일에 이를 수 있으며 나 또한 그 배움의 과정 속에 있다. 매일 수련과 기도와 명상을 하며 오늘도 감사로 하루를 시작한다. 오직 그 길이 내가 향해가는 명확한 목표지점이라는 것을 알고 성장을 실행하며 즐겁게 나아간다. 나에게는 그것이 삶의 가장 큰 미션이기 때문이다.
We are beings united with the divine (神人合一 - Shin'in'gabiil) through spirit, energy, and body. We are endowed with a physical body in the order of spirit, energy, and body, and at the moment of death, we leave the physical body in the order of body, energy, and spirit, returning to the soul. The countless individual souls each possess different personalities, but ultimately originate from a single light, that is, the light of God. In the Bible, it is said that God created us in His image.
Genesis 1:26-27: 26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” 27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
Genesis 5:1: This is the written account of Adam’s family line. When God created mankind, he made them in the likeness of God.
This means we were created as beings reflecting God's character and attributes. The accurate interpretation is that in our own world, we are, in essence, God. Jesus clearly expressed this.
John 8:58: “Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” - “I am” (ἐγὼ εἰμί, Ego Eimi) is the same expression used in the Old Testament to refer to God (Exodus 3:14), indicating that Jesus is God. Because of this statement, the Jews considered Jesus a blasphemer and tried to stone him.
John 10:30: “I and the Father are one.” - This is a declaration of the essential oneness between Jesus and God the Father. This statement also provoked the Jews, ultimately leading to his crucifixion.
People consider Jesus to be God, but Jesus' true meaning implies that we are all children of God and that in our own worlds, we embody the divine. Especially, he uses expressions like 'everyone is one' and 'everyone is God's people' without distinguishing between you and me. The reason Jesus did not differentiate between you and me is that everyone is God in their own universe, their own world.
Matthew 25:40: “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”
The reason for discussing union with the divine (神人合一 - Shin'in'gabiil) is that we must become the masters of our own world. Many people without religion are averse to it because they are asked to blindly believe in incomprehensible aspects. One's own worldview is the entirety of the universe, and growth and development come from expanding that worldview. Therefore, making those who are not ready to hear, listen, is meaningless.
Union with the divine is the ultimate completion of growth. This means living with virtue beyond mere character, and then attaining divinity beyond virtue. A life perfectly united with the divine. A life without limitations. Fullness and joy. Beautifully changing the world with good intentions. Living like God, who resembles nature. True happiness lies in self-perfection. The goal of that self-perfection beautifully unfolds in each individual's universe.
There is no single way to achieve union with the divine. One can expand awareness through realization and the habitualization of presence, already being in union with the divine. Furthermore, by expanding this concept, one can reach a union with the divine on a different dimension, and I am also in the process of that learning. I start each day with gratitude, practicing daily discipline, prayer, and meditation. Knowing that this path is my clear destination, I joyfully move forward, implementing growth. For me, that is life's greatest mission.
