영원한 존재

Eternal Existence

성운에서 태어나 원자였다 분자였다

이 몸을 가졌듯이,

나는 다시

백합과 이슬과

발이 하얀 고양이의 수염이 되고,

밤바람 섞인 재스민 향이 되어

닿을 수 없는 별로 돌아가지요.

바다와 휘파람과 데이지가 가득한 별에서

나는 카뮈와 밥을 먹고

페소아와 그의 시를 읽고

쇼팽이 직접 연주하는 녹턴을 들으며

고흐의 노란색 붓질을 바라봅니다.

사라지지 않아요,

그때부터 지금까지 계속 함께 있습니다.

Born from the nebula, once atoms, then molecules,  

As I possess this body,  

I am again  

A lily, a dew,  

The whiskers of a white-footed cat,  

The jasmine scent carried by the night breeze,  

Returning to a star out of reach.

On a star filled with sea, whistling winds, and daisies,  

I dine with Camus,  

Read Pessoa’s poetry with him,

Listen to Chopin’s nocturnes as he plays them,

And gaze at Van Gogh’s yellow brushstrokes.

I do not vanish,  

From then until now,  

Always present with everyone.
