The boy's room by designed -

The boy's room by designed is space to be designed between the past and the present.

This is the design of time that existed prior to spatial time.

Thus, Design left behind the time shows by the structure of space.

This space of the now is a mark of design that is tailored for the past time.

This is a space where design behavior is cut off.

Thus, there is no movement, but the spacial design of the structure is in space of now.

The architecture of Palladio is centered on structure.

He takes the shape of a structure that shapes the sensibility and forms.

Following Palladio's structure of paladianian is a unified 2D installation of the pillar proportion of classical architecture.

It was taken to the façade of design, and it was arranged in different forms.

This is only reveals the walls and patterns of the design that has gone astray.

However, the patterns can not recognize design.

Time can be seen in the past, but space can not determine the shape of the design.

Thus, the space leaves a form that is designed in time. It's a vestige of the design left behind.

Therefore, the vestige of time in the visible space is design.

This is the space of the subject who designed in the past.

And it is the form of revival design in now.

The boy's room hides the mark of time and loses the subject of the space.

It is the boy's room was designed.

Palladio is the style of serliana, he produced the same effect of structure in façade design.

Thus, the design of the Palladio structure is the 2D structure, which is based on the emotion of the subject.

시간잉여공간으로서의 小年의 房

시간잉여공간은 선 공간과 현재와의 사이에서 이외의 공간을 말한다.

이것은 선 공간에 존재했던 시간성을 공간화하여서 시간의 흔적이 남겨진 비존재로서의 공간성을 보여준다.

이 공간은 이제(現)의 시간에 맞추어진 선 공간에서의 남겨진 인위적인 흔적이다.

이것은 빈공간으로 남겨져서 행위가 단절된 공간이다. 따라서 움직임이 없는 공간이다.

이것은 주체가 사라진 벽과 창의 무늬만을 밝힌다. 그리고 무늬가 의식하는 것을 볼 수 없다. 즉 시간은 잉여공간을 볼 수 있지만 공간은 형태를 정할 수 없다.

이렇게 공간은 시간에서 여잉(餘剩)된 형태를 남긴다. 그것은 시간의 흔적으로 한 공간적 시간의 표식일 보일뿐이다.


홍상현은 보이는 공간에서 시간의 흔적을 찾으려 한다.

이것은 무늬를 만드는 주체의 공간을 넘어선 이제의 형태이다. 따라서 시간의 표식을 감추고 있는 내부의 빈공간은 주체의 상실을 말한다.

이것은 시간의 흔적에서 여잉된 슬픔에 잠긴 소년의 방이다.


소년의 방에서 그는 공간과 행위 사이의 창에서 드러난 슬픔을 본다.

소년은 돌이킬 수 없이 슬픔의 영향이 지속되어서 그의 슬픔은 행위의 대상이 아니라 행위를 하게 만드는 원인으로서의 공간이 된다.

홍상현은 슬픔의 일반적인 구조로 소년의 방을 형상화 한다.

小年의 房

소년의 방은 작(婥)은 공간을 의미한다.

홍상현은 예쁜 소년(rute)이 보는 대상과 이야기 한다. 이것은 공간에서 실재하는 ‘소년의 방’을 찾아가는 과정이다.

소년이 ‘소년의 방’을 찾아가는 길에는 이름 모를 꽃과 사인‘IN’이 가로막고 있다.

소년은 기표적 의미로서 사인‘IN’이 입구가 아닌 무의미한 표상이라는 것을 모르고 긴 시간을 헤매다가 사인‘IN’ 앞에 선다.

그리고 소년은 사인‘IN’의 의미에 대하여 맞서서 버티다가 무의미한 것에서 의미를 찾고자 꽃으로 갈아 채우려고 꽃을 유리병에 담아서 가져간다.

홍상현은 시간성을 배제함으로써 꽃, 물방울과 벽 각각 다른 시점의 공간을 자유롭게 연결하여서 각각의 다름을 소년을 통하여 실재화 한다.


꽃이 없는 잎은 그것이 꽃인지 나무인지를 판단할 수 없다. 그러나 소년은 잎의 줄기가 나무가 된다고 생각하여서 꽃을 딴다.

소년은 자신이 꽃을 따고 남은 잎에서 물방울의 흔적을 보았다.

그것은 소년이 본 것이 아니라 물방울의 흔적이 사라진 잎이 소년을 본 것이다.

잎은 생각했다. 스스로가 벽을 넘지 못하면 나무가 있는 곳으로 갈 수 없다는 것을 그래서 소년이 가는 방향을 보았다.


소년이 찾아가는 곳에는 고가(高架)가 생기고 ‘소년의 방’으로 가는 길이 사라진다.

소년은 고가를 통하여 사인‘IN’이 무의미한 이유를 알게 되지만 유리병에 담긴 꽃이 시들어가는 것은 모르고 있다.

꽃은 소년의 시선을 고가에 고착시키고 응시적 이미지가 된다. 꽃은 시간성에 종속된 것이 아니라 사실적 이미지로서 시간성을 시각화한 것이다.

따라서 꽃이 ‘소년의 방’을 선택하고 소년과 응시적 공간을 공유함으로서 꽃이 존재하는 ‘소년의 방’은 시간성이 시각화되고 여러 현상이 일어나는 공간이 된다.


홍상현은 예술적 공간으로서 ‘소년의 방’이 만나는 추상적인 공간을 실재적 시간으로 한정한다.

‘소년의 방’에는 창문과 액자 그리고 유리꽃병이 있다.

창문에서 들어오는 빛은 ‘소년의 방’을 간섭하지 않고 있다. 빛의 간섭을 싫어하는 소년은 대상의 고유색이 빛이 만들어낸 것임을 알고 있다.

빛은 유리병의 꽃을 그려진 액자의 꽃처럼 만들고 시들게 하여 고유색을 변화시킨다. 소년은 빛의 간섭으로 유리병의 꽃이 그림처럼 보이는 것을 정지된 액자의 꽃과 유리병의 꽃으로 한정하였고 다른 시간성에서 보이는 꽃이라는 속성을 ‘소년의 방’에서 보여준다.

‘소년의 방’은 이미지로 고착되고 공간에서 사라진다. 그는 사라진 공간의 실재를 찾고자 한다.

그것은 카페의 푯말(rute44_5521)을 보고서 사라진 카페를 찾아서 본디의 공간으로 시간을 되돌리는 것이다. 그리고 그 공간을 찾으려고 욕망하게 만드는 그의 대상이 소년이다.


홍상현은 공간에서의 시간성을 다루고 있다. 이것은 가역적 시간으로 한 공간이다.

따라서 그는 ‘소년의 방’에서 경과된 시간과 현재를 동일시할 수 있다.

지금까지 그의 사진은 공간이 어디인가, 시점은 어디에 둘 것인가 이였다. 이것은 보는 시간에 따라 공간은 변형되었고 시점에 따라 공간은 다른 이미지가 되었다.

그는 사진은 현실적인 유클리드의 공간에서 볼 수 없는 ‘소년의 방’의 실재를 만나기 위해서 공간에서 물방울처럼 아름다운 대상들을 소재로 사용한다.

홍상현 사진의 소재로서의 물방울은 공간에서 차가운 자극을 받아서 숨쉴 때 나오는 슬픔이다. 그것은 잠결에서 깨어난 소년이 더 슬퍼하는 이유이다.

소년은 물방울이 투명 하지만 빛의 자극으로 그것의 크기만큼 그림자가 생기는 것을 몰랐다. 왜 한쪽면은 투명하게 보이고 반대쪽면은 물방울들이 검게 보이는 것(rute44_5506)인지를 727번이 지나서 슬픔이 모인 검은 바탕에 떨어진 물방울은 흔적을 남기고 물방울에도 그림자가 있는 것(rute44_6233)을 알게된 소년은 물방울을 꺼리고 따돌리게 된다.


물방울을 막아주던 둥근 모양이 반복된 벽(rute44_1504)은 감추었던 됨됨이를 소년의 슬픔으로 끌어낸 흔적이다.

이것은 소년의 가장 슬픈 소리가 아름다운 벽(璧)을 진동하여 떨어진 물방울이 벽의 한 부분을 시들어진 꽃처럼 변화(邊花)시킨 것이다.

소년 유클리드는 공간에서 슬픔과 벽을 분리시킨다. 그것을 반대하는 소년 로바쳅스키는 슬픔 밖의 또 하나의 슬픔을 지나서 벽과 만나게 한다.

홍상현은 아름다운 벽을 유클리드가 볼 수 없는 로바쳅스키의 슬픔으로 시각화 하여서 소년에게서 보이는 벽과 슬픔의 왜상적 이미지를 동일시함으로서 벽을 슬픔이 존재하는 흔적으로 표상 한다.

이번 전시에서 홍상현은 소년을 통해 실재로서의 공간을 정한다.

이 공간은 그가 소년을 처음 만난 시간에서 빛으로 드러나는 ‘소년의 방’의 실재이다.

시간은 빛의 간섭을 받아서 ‘소년의 방’의 형태를 변화시킨다.

그러나 한정된 시간에서 멈추어선 ‘소년의 방’의 창문 밖에서 그는 보이는 시간과 공간의 실재적 존재(rute44_4204)를 찾아낸다. 이것은 소년이 탄 자전거를 지난 시간의 늪에서 찾아내면서 시작된다.


소년은 생각한다. 자전거가 다른 공간의 늪에 있었던 시간과 소년이 보았던 자전거와 늪이 변한 것을.

그리고 소년은 자전거와 늪이 하나의 공간에서 존재하는 이유를 가역적 시간에서 실재화 한다.

실재화된 이미지는 자전거가 늪을 빌려서 실재화한 것이 아니라 자전거의 시간성을 늪으로 바꾸어 놓음으로서 원래의 늪이 자전거와 동일한 공간에 존재하게 된다.


이렇게 그는 시간의 우연적 형식에서 형상이 변한 대상을 본디의 상태로 가역하는 시간 속의 형상과 그 시간의 공간이 중첩된 실재로 유도한다./ 글. 사진미학 평론가 최철주 (문화디자인박사)

A boy's room

A boy's room means a rute space.

Hong-Sanghyeon talks boy about an object that rute boy sees This is the process of finding a 'boy's room'(rute44_2203) in space.

The boy looking for way of boy's room that is blocked by a nameless flower and a ‘sign: IN'.

The boy does not know that meaning of 'sign: IN ' is not an entrance, but a meaningless representation,

after a long time, he stands in front of the 'sign: IN'.

And the boy struggles against the meaning of the cause of the 'sign: IN',

tries to find meaning in nonsense, put to the flowers in a bottle with replace a meaning in nonsense.


By excluding time, Hong-Sanghyeon provides free links between flowers, droplets, and walls.

And which allow each differentiation to be realized through the boy.


Leaves without flowers can not determine whether it is a flower or a tree.

However, the boy thinks the leaves of the tree become a tree, so he pick a flower.

The boy saw a vestige(rute44_6133) of water dripp from the leaves of the flower.

It is not a boy saw, but leaf that disappeared traces of water saw the boy.

The leaves thought. “If you can't get yourself across the wall, you're not going to be able to go to the woods”, so leaves saw the way the boy went.


Where the boy goes, there's an overpass, the path to 'Boy’s room' disappears.

The boy learns the 'sign: IN' of meaningless, but he does not know that the flowers in the glass bottle do wither.

The flower puts the boy's gaze at overpass and becomes a gazing at image.

Flowers are not dependent on time, but time visualize as a realistic image.

So the flowers chose the boy's room, by sharing the visible space with the boy,

the ‘Boy’s room’ in which flowers exist becomes a visual visualization and becomes a place where various phenomena occur.


Hong-Sanghyeon is an artistic space that limits the abstract space that a boy's room meets in real time.

There are window, frame, and glass vase in the boy's room.

The light from the window does not interfere with the 'boy's room'.

The boy who hates the interference of light knows that the color of the object is produced by light.

Light makes painting of flowers look like flowers in a vase and turns them into a original color.

The boy looks like a picture of flowers in a vase as an interference of the light,

it was confined to a fixed frame of flowers and to the flowers of glass bottles,

shows the attributes of flowers appearing in different time periods in 'Boy’s room’.

The boy's room is stuck with images and disappears from space. He wants to find the reality of lost space.

That is to find a signpost(rute44_5521) of café missing from the café and back it back into its original space of time. And that’s desire is the boy that is to find the space.


Hong-Sanghyeon deals with time in space. This is a space with a reversible time.

Therefore, he is capable of making same to the elapsed time and the now in the 'boy’s room'.

So far, where is his photo, viewpoint was where would put it.

This was modified according to the time of it looked at,

According to the viewpoint, the space became a different image.

His photo uses beautiful objects like waterdrop in space to meet the reality of the boy's room that he can't see in real space of Euclid.


Water droplets as shown in the photo of Hong-Sanghyeon are the sadness from resulting of the chilling breath in the space.

That is why the boy who wakes up nap is more sad.

Water droplets are transparency,

the boy did not know that the shadow of water droplets were as thick as its size.

Why one side looks transparent and the other side(rute44_5506) looks black,

The drops of water that fell on a black background of sadness,

which had accumulated over 727, left sadness, the boy learns that there(rute44_6233) is a shadow in the water, and he avoid water droplets and throw away.


A round shaped repeated wall(rute44_1504) that blocks the water droplets of water is a sign of the boy's sorrow as he was swept away by the boy's sorrow.

This is because the boy's sorrowful sound shook the beautiful wall, and the drops of water changed like a faded flower.

Young Euclid separates the sorrows and walls from the space.

Young robachevsky oppose it and then another grief outside of grief meets the wall.

Hong-Sanghyeon visualized the beautiful Robachevsky’s walls, which the sadness of Euclid does not see,

The wall presents the wall as a boy of sadness by equating the image of the wall and the grief of the boy with the same image.


In this exhibition, Hong-Sanghyeon decides the real space through a boy.

This space is the reality of the boy's room that reveals the light from the time he first met the boy.

Time changes the form of 'boy’s room' because of the interference of light.

But in a limited time, he finds the real existence(rute44_4204) of time and space outside the window of the ‘boy's room’.

This begins when the boy's bicycle is found in the swamp of the time.


The boy thinks. The time when the bicycle was in the swamp of another space and the boy had seen the changed in bicycle and the swamp.

And the boy realized the reason why bicycles and swamps exist in one space of reversible time.

The reality is that bicycles are not realized by borrowing a swamp,

By turning the bicycle of time into a swamp, the original swamps exist in the same space as the bicycle.


So, In the form of accidently time, it changed its form,
