  사나운 바다의 춤을 보고 있자면 나의 가슴 속 동요가 잠시 멎는다. 도리어 시원스러운 그 모습에 강한 카타르시스를 느낀다. 세찬 파도가 격렬한 춤을 추고 팔랑팔랑 울렁이는 모습에서, 고귀한 삶을 떠올리게 된다. 고귀한 삶이란 타인의 삶보다 나은 삶이 아니라, 어제의 자신보다 나은 삶을 말한다. 관성은 삶을 산산조각으로 깨뜨리고, 정신을 질식하게 한다. 쉴 새 없이 흐르는 물결과 암초를 깎는 격랑의 모습을 보며 정체된 타성에 몸을 맡길 수 없음을, 삶의 의미는 자유와 열정이 이끄는 곳에 있음을 다시금 곱씹게 된다. 언제나 새로움을 추구하는 정신으로 개방적인 태도와 진취적인 행동을 취하여, 고귀한 삶을 살아내리라.

  As I watch the tumultuous movements of the dancing sea, the turmoil in my heart quiets down for a while. Instead, I feel an intense catharsis in its spectacular appearance. As the rough waves display their violent dance and sway gracefully, they remind us of our precious lives. A precious life is not one superior to others but one that surpasses yesterday's self. Inertia shatters life into pieces and suffocates the soul. Looking at the relentless waves flowing without rest and the fierce waves sculpting the rocks, we are reminded not to surrender to stagnant inertia. There is a meaning in living where freedom and passion lead. We must always have the spirit to relentlessly pursue something new, maintain an open and positive attitude, and pledge to live a precious life to the fullest.

  荒々しく舞う海の動きを見ていると、胸の中の動揺が暫くの間、静かになる。むしろ豪快なその姿に激しいカタルシスを感じる。荒波が乱暴な踊りを見せながら、ひらひらと揺れ動く姿から、我々の尊い人生を思い出させる。尊い人生とは、他人の人生より優れた人生ではなく、昨日の自分より優る生を尊い人生と言える。慣性は人生を粉粉に砕き、己の魂を息苦しくさせる。休む暇もなく流れ通る波と、岩を削る激浪の姿から、停滞された惰性に身を任せてはいけない、自由や情熱が導くところに生きるという意味があることを改めて噛み締める。常に新しい何かをとことん追求する精神を持って、限りなくオープンされた態度や前向きな行動を取り、尊い人生を生き抜くことを誓う。
