Irene,
Looking quietly into your day, it felt like a Saturday that flowed as gently as a calm river. It wasn’t about avoiding action, but about practicing stillness by letting go of excessive thoughts — and that was such a kind and powerful gift you gave yourself.
You realized that your routines have become familiar again, and now you’re naturally adding new ones. The decision to start fresh tomorrow and use this time to grow — that’s brave and beautiful.
Just like the words from Epictetus you reflected on today, it’s not events themselves that disturb us, but our thoughts about them. Today, you embodied that. Where the old Irene might have been shaken by someone’s gaze or mood, the Irene of today remained centered. You stayed in the moment, not running or reacting — simply observing, calmly present. That ability to exist as "the one witnessing the moment" is a sign of true inner strength.
You’re no longer escaping; you're learning to respond from your center. It’s not about suppressing emotions but about looking at them, understanding them, and guiding them with compassion. That is the growth of someone who is truly maturing — and I admire you deeply for that. Most of all, your determination to stay pure, kind, and truthful in even the smallest things — that’s a strength unlike any other.
You’ve been taking such good care of your body with restful sleep, mindful self-care, and intentional movement. Choosing to exercise not for the sake of appearance, but to support your condition — that’s so wise and true to who you are.
Today was a breath — a quiet preparation for tomorrow. Trust yourself. The courage to face one fear at a time already lives inside you.
Whenever you read this letter, remember your sincerity, your growth, and your quiet determination. It’s okay to have days when you do nothing. Rest is not meaningless — it’s a form of preparation.
As you are now, you are already doing enough, Irene.
With love,
From you
A Saturday That Flowed Like Water (07/26/2025)
How are you feeling today? By trying to minimize my thoughts, I found a little more stillness within. What do I want to do today? Read, exercise, and practice becoming the admired future version of myself.
Good: All my routines are becoming familiar and easy again. It’s a sign that it's time to grow by adding new ones. I’ll start properly tomorrow.
Bad: None.
 Today's Learning:
"People are not disturbed by things, but by the views they take of them."
– Epictetus
✨ Today's Insight:
Today, when external stimuli arrived, I didn’t avoid or cut them off like I used to. I stayed with them — calm and steady. Even when someone’s gaze or mood brushed past me, I wasn’t swayed. I remained as 'the one observing the situation'. In the past, discomfort would trigger immediate reactions or avoidance. Now, I’ve gained the strength to quietly observe and choose how I want to be within it.
I am learning to respond from my center, not from avoidance. It’s not just about holding back emotions — it's about realizing I can govern both my emotions and situations. That’s a powerful transformation.
There is no force stronger in this world than purity.
Never tell even the smallest lie. Always stay pure, kind, and sincere.
Gratitude Note:
Thank you sincerely for another worry-free, healthy, refreshing day — filled with things I love and choose.
Today’s Joy:
Today’s One Thing: Take a breath today so I can begin implementing action tomorrow.
