예약이 되면 언제 어디서도 알 수 있다. 나에게 스마트 폰으로 바로 이메일이 오기 때문이다. 그러면 나는 바로 감사 이메일을 보낸다. 바로 보내는 이유는 게스트가 지금 와이파이를 쓸 수 있는 곳에 있다고 생각하기 때문이다. 여행 중 와이파이가 있을 때 얻는 빠른 정보가 여행객들에게 얼마나 유용한지를 알기 때문이다. 덧 붙여서 찾아오는 방법도 자세히 보내준다. 이런 식이다.

[How to find Oasis guesthouse in Seoul]
* By Airport express train (AREX)
1. Take the Airport express (AREX) at Incheon Int'l Airport or Gimpo Int'l Airport. Don’t take the Express train, take the ALL STOP train.(Incheon Int’l Airport to Hongik University station
fare: KRW 3,750)
2. Get off at Hongik University station. (The train takes about 46 min. from Incheon Int’l Airport.)
3. Come out exit #7 by the escalator and go straight the path with construction fences both sides. (70M) If you use the elevator turn right.
4. You will see the three-way intersection after come out construction fences.
5. Turn right and find café oui.
6. Keep going straight down the road until you reach the intersection. (100M) and you will see the japanese style bar 333-6.
7. Turn left and go straight (300M) until you will see convenience store CU your left and the café a;t fox your right side.
8. Turn right beside a;t fox and go straight(20M) you will find Oasis guesthouse.

처음 언제 올지를 물어보는 것은 나는 혼자 운영하기 때문에 체크인 시간을 모르면 24시간 계속 게스트 하우스에서 대기할 수 없기 때문에 나에겐 꼭 필요한 정보이다. 혹시나 답을 안주는 게스트가 있다면 비밀번호와 방 번호를 알려주고 내 볼일을 본다.
다음으로 나와 연락할 수 있는 모든 SNS를 알려준다. 아무래도 이메일 보다는 친근하고 빨리 연락할 수 있으니 가급적이면 SNS를 통해서 연락한다. 이렇게 서로 연결이 되어야 나중에 머물고 있을 때도 문제가 생겼을 때 바로 바로 해결해 줄 수 있고 서로 쉽게 약속을 잡을 수 있다.
마지막으로 찾아오는 길 설명은 복잡하지 않고 간단하게 하였다. 이 설명을 가지고도 못 찾아오는 게스트는 일 년에 한 명 정도이다. 대부분은 너무나 잘 찾아온다. 단 홍대는 워낙 상점들이 자주 바뀌므로 가끔 이정표로 써 논 곳이 잘 있는 지 확인한다. 가게 이름이 바뀌면 나도 바로 바꾼다.
공항에서 오는 방법과 전철역에서 오는 방법 두 가지를 알려주는 이유는 외국에서 바로 오는 게스트들도 있지만 때로는 지방을 먼저 들렀다가 오는 게스트들도 있기 때문이다. 마지막에는 한국어 주소도 넣어서 혹시 택시기사나 한국인에게 길을 물어보는 경우에 쓰라고 넣었다. 구글맵을 이용하는 친구들이 사용하라고 GPS도 첨부하였다.
