막달라 마리아는 일찍 잠에서 깼습니다. 밖은 아직 어두웠습니다.
마리아는 직접 고른 향료를 집어 들고 서늘한 바깥으로 나섰습니다.
그녀는 다른 여인들과 함께 예수의 시체에 향료를 더 바르기 위해 가는 길이었습니다.
무덤에 가까이 이르자 마리아는 놀랐습니다.
무덤 입구를 막고 있던 돌이 옮겨지고, 무덤이 열려 있는 것이었습니다.
마리아는 무덤 안을 들여다보았습니다. 예수의 시체가 사라지고 없었습니다.
그녀는 뛰기 시작했습니다. 그리고 베드로와 요한을 만났습니다.
"돌이," 숨을 헐떡이며 그녀가 말했습니다. "돌이 움직여져 있어요. 무덤이 열려 있고 선생님의 시체가 없어졌어요. 그분의 시체가 어디 있는지 모르겠어요."
베드로와 요한이 뛰기 시작했습니다. 요한이 베드로를 앞질러 뛰어갔습니다.
요한은 무덤 안을 들여다보았습니다. 예수의 몸을 감쌌던 천들은 있었지만, 그의 시체는 없었습니다.
마침내 베드로도 왔습니다. 그는 무덤 안으로 들어가 보았습니다.
베드로는 예수의 머리를 감쌌던 천을 보았습니다.
요한은 예수가 다시 살아났다는 생각이 들기 시작했습니다.
베드로와 요한은 그들이 있던 집으로 돌아갔습니다.
마리아는 무덤 밖에서 울고 있었습니다. 그녀는 몸을 숙여 무덤 안을 들여다보았습니다.
흰 옷을 입은 두 천사가 예수의 시체가 놓여있던 곳에 앉아 있었습니다.
마리아가 뒤를 돌아보자 누군가 그녀의 뒤에 서있었습니다. 그녀는 그가 동산 관리인인 줄 알았습니다.
그때, "마리아야." 하고 예수가 말했습니다. 그는 예수였습니다.
그날 밤 예수가 제자들에게 왔습니다. 예수는 그들에게 손의 못 자국과 창에 찔린 옆구리를 보여주었습니다.
예수는 죽었으나, 이제 다시 살아났습니다.
Mary Magdalene woke up early. It was still dark.
Mary picked up the spices she had chosen and walked out into the cool air.
As she went, Mary was joined by other women. They wanted to put more spices on Jesus' body.
As Mary got close to the tomb, she was surprised.
The stone that covered the door of the tomb was moved. The door of the tomb was open!
Mary looked in. Jesus' body was not there.
She began to run. She found Peter and John.
"The stone," she gasped. "It has been moved. The door is open, and Jesus' body is not in the tomb anymore. We do not know where his body is."
Peter and John began to run. John ran so fast he passed Peter.
John looked into the tomb. The cloths were there, but Jesus' body was gone.
Peter finally arrived at the tomb. He ran into the tomb.
Peter saw the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus' head.
John began to understand Jesus came back to life.
Peter and John went back to the house where they were staying.
Mary stood outside the tomb crying. She bent down to look in the tomb.
Two angels in white were sitting where Jesus' body had been.
Then Mary turned around. Someone was standing behind her. Mary thought it was the gardener.
"Mary," said Jesus. It was Jesus!
Jesus visited the disciples that night. He showed them the nail marks in his hands and the spear hole in his side.
Jesus was dead, but now he was alive.
