빌라도와 예수

유대인 지도자들은 로마 총독의 관저로 예수를 끌고 갔습니다.
그들은 빌라도가 예수를 죽이기를 바랐습니다.
빌라도가 밖의 소란을 듣고 무슨 일인지 알아보려고 나왔습니다.
분노한 유대인 지도자들과 예수를 보고 그가 물었습니다, "이 사람은 누구인가? 무엇 때문에 이 사람을 내게 데려왔는가?"
유대인 지도자들이 대답했습니다, "이 사람이 자기가 왕이라 하오. 그는 왕이 아니오."
빌라도가 예수에게 물었습니다, "네가 유대인의 왕이냐?"
예수가 대답했습니다, "내 나라는 이 세상에 속하지 않는다."
빌라도가 말했습니다, "그렇다면 네가 왕이란 말이구나!"
예수가 대답했습니다, "진리의 편에 있는 사람은 내 말을 듣는다."(요한복음 18:37)
슬프게도, 빌라도는 예수가 말하는 진리를 알고 싶어 하지 않았습니다.
빌라도가 유대인 지도자들에게 물었습니다, "나는 그에게서 아무 잘못도 찾지 못했다. 예수를 풀어주기 원하는가?"
그들이 계속해서 소리쳤습니다, "아니요! 그를 십자가에 못 박아 죽이시오!"
격노한 유대인 지도자들이 두려웠던 빌라도는 예수를 십자가에 못 박도록 병사들에게 넘겨주었습니다.
The Jewish leaders took Jesus to the palace of the Roman governor.
The Jewish leaders wanted Pilate to put Jesus to death.
Pilate heard angry voices outside the palace. He went out to see what was happening.
Pilate saw Jesus and the angry Jewish leaders. "Who is this," he asked, "Why did you brirng him to me?"
The Jewish leaders answered, "He says he is a king, but he is not."
Pilate asked Jesus, "Are you king of the Jews?"
Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world."
Pilate said, "So you are a king!"
Jesus asnwered, "Everyone on the side of truth listens to me." in John 18:37.
Sadly, Pilate did not want to know the truth about Jesus.
Pilate asked the Jewish leaders, "I find no basis for a charge against him. Do you want me to free Jesus?"
They shouted over and over, "No! Kill him on a cross!"
Pilate was afraid of the angry Jews. He gave Jesus to the soldiers to be put on a cross.
