금 송아지를 섬기는 이스라엘
모세 이야기 11

이스라엘 사람들은 모세가 하나님과 이야기를 마치고 산에서 내려오기를 매일매일 기다렸습니다.
사람들이 기다림에 지치자, 아론은 금으로 송아지 모양을 만들어 사람들이 섬기도록 했어요.
사람들은 오직 한 분뿐인 그들의 하나님을 잊어버렸습니다.
아론마저도 오직 하나님만을 예배하라는 하나님의 말씀을 잊었습니다.
이스라엘 사람들은 금 송아지 우상에게 제물을 바쳤어요.
모세가 돌아와 이를 보고 몹시 분노했습니다.
이스라엘 사람들은 하나님의 말씀을 따르지 않았어요.
모세는 하나님에게 이스라엘 사람들의 용서를 구했습니다.
하나님이 말씀하셨어요. "가서 내가 약속한 땅으로 나의 백성을 인도하라."
모세는 하나님의 말씀을 따랐습니다.
Day after day, the Israelites waited for Moses to come down after talking to God.
Because the people were tired of waiting for Moses, Aaron made a golden calf for the people to worship.
The people forgot about the one true God.
Even Aaron forgot God wants His people to worship only Him.
The Israelites gave offerings to this idol, the golden calf.
When Moses came down, he was very angry.
The Israelites disobeyed God.
Moses asked God to forgive His people.
God said, "Go and lead my people to the land I promised them."
Moses obeyed God.
