약속의 땅을 향하여
모세 이야기 25

하나님이 이스라엘 사람들에게 약속하신 땅에 들어갈 날이 다가왔습니다.
하나님은 약속의 땅에 들어갈 준비를 도우셨어요.
모세가 사람들에게 말했어요. "하나님은 출발하기 전, 우리 캠프에 모두 몇 명이 있는지 그 수를 세라고 하신다. 각 가족이 새 땅에서 살아갈, 곡식을 재배할 터전을 갖기 위해 성인이 몇 명인지 알아야 준비가 완료된다."
모든 가족들은 수를 세기 시작했어요. 카운팅이 끝나자 모세는 그 숫자를 기록했습니다.
하나님은 우상을 숭배하는 주변 민족들로부터 이스라엘 백성을 보호하려 했습니다.
그들이 남아 있다가는 이스라엘 사람들로 하여금 우상을 숭배하게 할 것이기 때문이었습니다.
그들은 각 가족에서 병사를 뽑아 싸우러 보냈습니다.
이스라엘 병사들은 *미디안과 싸웠습니다. 하나님이 그들의 승리를 도우셨어요.
이제 그들은 약속의 땅에 들어갈 준비가 되었습니다.
하나님은 그를 믿는 사람들이 미래를 준비하도록 도우십니다.
It was almost time for the Israelites to enter the land God had promised them.
God helped His people get ready to enter the Promised Land.
Moses told the people, "Before you can go, God says we must count all the men in our camp.
You will not be ready until we know how many grown-up people there are so that in the Promised Land each family can be given all the land they need to live on and grow crops."
Every family began to count. They finished counting, and Moses wrote down the numbers.
God wanted to protect the Israelites from the people who worshipped idols.
If they were left in the land, they would try to make the Israelites worship idols.
Each family chose men to fight for God, and every family sent a man to fight.
The Israelite soldiers fought against the Midianites. God helped them win.
Now they were ready to enter the Promised Land.
God helps His people get ready for the future.
