모세 이야기 26

어느 날, 모세는 이스라엘 사람들을 불러 모았습니다.
모세는 그들이 결코 잊어서는 안 되는 중요한 사건을 회상했습니다.
이집트 왕 파라오는 이스라엘 민족을 놓아준 것을 후회하기 시작했습니다.
그는 이스라엘 사람들을 도로 잡아와 다시 그의 노예로 삼기로 결정했습니다.
그는 서둘러 말과 전차를 겸비한 막강한 군대에게 이스라엘 민족을 쫓아가라고 명령했습니다.
파라오의 군대가 추격해 오는 것을 안 이스라엘 사람들은 몹시 두려웠습니다.
그들은 울부짖었어요. "하나님, 도와주세요. 양쪽은 거대한 산으로 막혀 있고 우리 뒤엔 파라오의 군대가 있으며 앞엔 바다가 있습니다. 우린 꼼짝없이 갇혔어요!"
하나님이 모세에게 명하셨고, 모세가 사람들에게 외쳤습니다.
"두려워하지 말라. 하나님이 우리를 인도하신다."
모세가 바다를 향해 손을 뻗었습니다. 강한 바람이 일기 시작했습니다.
하나님이 물 한가운데로 마른땅을 내셨습니다.
이스라엘 사람들이 마른땅에 발을 디뎌, 양쪽의 물기둥 사이를 지나 바다를 건너기 시작했습니다.
모세와 이스라엘 사람들은 무사히 홍해의 건너편에 이르렀습니다.
모세가 손을 뻗자 물기둥이 무너져 내렸습니다.
이집트 병사들과 전차들, 그리고 기병대가 모두 물로 덮였습니다.
One day, Moses called all of the Israelite people together for a meeting.
He had an important reminder for them of something they must never forget.
Pharaoh had begun to be sorry he had let God's people leave.
He decided he must get the Israelites back so they would be his slaves again.
Quickly, he ordered his huge army with horses and chariots to chase the Israelites.
When the Israelites realized Pharaoh's army was chasing them, they were very afraid.
They cried out, "Oh, God, help us. There are huge mountains on either side of us.
Now Pharaoh's army is behind us, and look, the Red Sea in front of us. We're trapped!"
God gave instructions to Moses, and then Moses called out to the people,
"Don't be afraid. God leads His people."
Moses stretched out his hand over the sea. A strong wind began to blow.
God made a dry dirt path right in the middle of the water.
The Israelites stepped on the dry ground and began walking through the sea, right between walls of water on each side.
Moses and all the Israelites had safely reached the other side of the Red Sea.
Moses stretched out his hand and the walls of water crashed down.
Water covered the Egyptians, their chariots, and their horsemen.
