창을 열자 시원한 바람이 품 안에 안겨온다
무성한 나뭇잎들이 흔들리며 노래를 부르고 줄지어 행군하는 개미들은 바삐 가을을 준비 중
가을이면 모두가 그리움의 주인공이 되지 가슴 한켠 저릿한 눈물은 소매 끝에 감춘 채 먼 산과
더 깊어진 하늘과 대화하는
이 계절
모든 영혼이 시인이 되는 시간 가을이 곁으로 다가와 앉는다
Autumn’s Embrace
I unfasten the window
A cool wind folds itself into my arms
The trees, heavy with leaves
sway like a choir of green
while ants in solemn procession
hasten to script their autumn labors
When autumn arrives
we are all cast as characters of longing
A sting of tears, hidden
at the hem of a sleeve
while I converse with distant hills
and the sky, grown deeper in its silence
This is the season
when every soul becomes a poet
for autumn draws near
and settles softly at my side
