석가 탄신일의 의미

The day when the Buddha was born 부처님께서 태어나신 날입니다. and it turns out that. the Thai people or in those area the parts of the world is celebrated on May twentieth this year 그리고 태국 사람들 그리고 그쪽 지역에서는 올해 5월 20일에 기린다고 합니다. meaning two weeks from today approximately 오늘로부터 대략 2주 후입니다. But we are following the Chinese 하지만 우리는 중국식을 따릅니다. Actual date for Vesak is, for the Chinese, next Saturday, the actual day 중국인들에게 석가탄신일의 실제 날짜는 다음 토요일입니다. So that’s why we are celebrating the 14th, the next Sunday we celebrate, that’s the right day 그래서 우리는 14일, 다음주 일요일을 기립니다, 그날이 맞는 날입니다. I think in heart lecture pretty soon I will explain to you why you want to take precepts even though you will break them 반야심경 강설에서 곧 여러분에게 왜 여러분이 계율을 어길 것이라도 계율을 받고 싶어하는지 설명해주겠습니다. ok. This is accroding to the bodhisattva. alright 이건 보살님에 따른 것입니다, 알겠습니까, what else 그 외에 뭐가 있습니까?     

 So the next Sunday we will be very very busy 그래서 다음 일요일 아주 아주 바쁩니다. So we will have the Dharma assembly in the morning 그래서 아침에 법회가 있을 겁니다, and then we will do the life liberating ceremony right away 그러고 직후에 방생 의식을 할 겁니다 ok and then we go to lunch 오케이 그러고 점심 먹으러 갑니다. That’s why there’s no lecture, dharma talk at all in the morning 그래서 아침에 강설, 법문이 전혀 없습니다 Maybe this week we should speak dharma 아마도 이번 주에 법문을 해야겠습니다.     

 (베트남어) (마스터) She said it’s too bad there’s no bodhisattva precepts 보살계까 없다니 안타깝다고 그녀가 말했습니다. We know how Master Xian K, how busy he is 우린 현가스님이 얼마나 바쁜지 압니다. jinshang reminds us that we should ask master xian jie is watching 진샹이 우리에게 현계스님이 보고 있으니 물어보라고 알려줬습니다, master xian jie please find a ceremony liturgy for the transmission of Bodhisattva precepts 현계스님, 보살계 전수 의식 전문을 찾아봐라, 오케이. See, now old women arguing 보십시오, 이제 나이 든 여자들끼리 말다툼을 하고 있습니다. And if your family, you come from a poor family  만약 당신 가족이, 당신이 가난한 가족으로부터 왔다면 they look down upon you especially women 그들이 당신을 특히 여자들이 당신을 내려다 볼 거라고 합니다. So she stopped by lumbini garden and then the Buddha popped out by the side 그래서 그녀가 룸비니 정원에 들렀고 그러곤 부처님께서 옆구리로 나오셨습니다. See? Buddhists believe everything 봤습니까? 불자들은 뭐든 다 믿습니다. And then, this is what I’m told. I’m not there 그러곤, 이건 내가 들은 겁니다, 난 거기 없었습니다. ok. This is what my teacher told me 이건 내 스승님이 말씀하신 겁니다. ok. and then as soon the Buddha got out, he walked seven steps 그러곤 부처님께서 나오시자마자 일곱 걸음을 걸으셨습니다. ok and wherever he walks there’s a lotus flower 오케이 그리고 그가 걷는 곳마다 연꽃이 있었습니다. ok. so he stepped on these seven lotuses 오케이 그래서 그가 일곱 연꽃 위를 걸었습니다. And then he pointed up to the sky and pointed here (아래) and you find out that verse next weekend 그러곤 그가 하늘을 가르키고 여기 (아래)를 가르켰습니다. 그리고 여러분이 다음 주말에 그 게송을 알아보십시오. 티옌탕티옌하우여포 천상천하무여불. He says above the heavens below the heavens I alone is most honored 그가 말하길 ‘천상천하유아독존’. He said so 부처님께서 그렇게 말씀하셨습니다. And then what happened 그리곤 무슨 일이 있었습니까. of course at that time. the dragon was spitting water to wash the Buddha 물론 당시에 부처님을 씻겨드리기 위해 용이 물을 뿜고 있었습니다. 오케이? The Buddha didn’t utter a word for three years 부처님께서 3년 동안 한 마디로 말하지 않으셨습니다. He didn’t say a single word for three years until the age of 3 그는 3살까지 단 한 마디로 3년 동안 말하지 않았습니다. Isn’t that amazing 놀랍지 않습니까? So you see, these are the manifestation of a very very very unusual child 그러니 여러분 보십시오, 이는 아주 아주 진기한 아이의 등장입니다. ok 오케이? So that’s the story of the his birth 이게 그의 출생 이야기입니다. you want to hear the rest of stories you have to wait for the next year 남은 얘기가 듣고 싶다면 내년까지 기다려야만 합니다. because time is up 시간이 다 되었기 때문입니다.
