Remote Work: an Innovative Form of Work
Imagine that you wake up on the bed. You eat breakfast and prepare for work but you do not need to go out. You just open your computer and work. Remote work started from the widespread of Covid-19, employees and workers were mandated to go to their homes and work there. By that case, remote work started. But there are some challenges like it is hard to work together but still there are more advantages instead of challenges in remote work because of the increase of productivity and cost savings.
To start with, there are more advantages instead of challenges in remote work because of the increase of productivity. In offices or companies, sounds, and noises could distract people from working. If they do remote work, it is easier to focus on work so the productivity increases. It is because there any other sounds to distract people in their home. According to A+PREP DAILY, “without the noise and distractions of a busy office, many workers found it easier to concentrate. They no longer had to spend time commuting, which saved hours each week and reduced stress”. If this continues, employee’s satisfaction increases because working from home can increase job satisfaction by allowing employees to tailor their work environment to their individual’s needs.
Furthermore, there are more advantages instead of challenges in remote work because of the cost savings. Commuting to the company, employees should use car or public transportation. But it reduces extra expanses on gas or transportation free, and for lunchtime they need to pay money for eating out. Plus, it saves money on office utility items. However, in home, there are already plenty supplies to use so employees and workers who do remote work do not spend much money. However, some people say that there are enough time and money to buy supplies and use for lunch in companies. But, if they do remote work, they could work the time when they use to go companies and buy things. If this continues, people’s money will be increased and will be saved and they could reduce the time of going to work.
In conclusion, there are more advantages instead of challenges in remote work because of the increase of a productivity and cost savings. To sum up, the productivity increases because there are not any noise and distractions if you do remote work, and you could reduce the time of going to the office, gas money to put in the car, and money to buy office supplies. Remote work changed people’s lives. It made them comfortable and happy for not going to the company and working at homes. Remote work should be used more in the future. Encouraging remote work can reshape our future form of work by saving more money and it is easier to work face to face by using computers by using video conferencing applications like Teams, Zoom and so more so it is more efficient to people’s lives.
