18. 탕후루, 수퍼마켓 간식

is a very popular, especially in winter, sugarcoated fruit snack loved by all!

설탕으로 코팅된 과일 간식인데 겨울에 특히 있기 있으며 모두에게 사랑받고 있습니다. (아마 치과의사는 아닐테지만)
Mobile tanghulu vendors carry large straw or plastic poles with dozens of these snacks on skewers sticking out as they make their rounds from one neighborhood to another.
탕후루 장사꾼들은 긴 막대에 탕후루 꼬치를 여러 개 꽂아서 운반하며, 빙 둘러선 사람들이 하나씩 뽑아갈 수 있게 합니다.
The very first tanghulu consisted of only two haws: a small one on top and a big one on the bottom, which made the treat look like a hulu, or bottle gourd.
초기 탕후루는 꼬치 내용이 두 개밖에 없었습니다 : 위에는 작은 것, 아래에는 큰 것으로 호리병박 모양으로 만들어졌습니다.

Traditionally the hawthorn is used, but now these are also dipped in sugar :

山楂 [shān chá] hawthorn, little red sweet, but slightly tart fruit 산사열매. 작고 빨갛고 달콤하며 약간 새콤한 과일.
豆柿 [dòu shì] date-plum, could be yellow or black 고욤나무 열매. 노란색 또는 검은색.
