알아듣기 힘든 미국 기차 안내방송

It travels from a microphone to speakers

On the ceiling in every cabin.

Walkie-talkie voice with

Speed which even

Super Sonic wouldn’t be able to follow,

ChatGPT couldn’t translate.

A passenger with a red shirt waved at me.

Must have noticed how puzzled I was.

“Yes, this is your destination, Penn Station.”

New York, finally.

People walked fast, bikes zipped fast

Honking broke out even quicker

Oh! Should have realized that

the Amtrak voice was in New York speed!

미국 기차 앰트랙으로 워싱턴에서 뉴욕가던 날, 기차역마다 방송이 나오고 뭔가 안내 사항이 나왔는데 무전기 같은 소리에 엄청난 속도…. 뉴욕스피드인지 정말 하나도 모르겠더라구요.

나이아가라 폭포 가는 기차 방송은 훨씬 더 차분했고 유머 섞인 목소리로 재밌기까지 했어요. 마지막 역에서는 기차에 타고 있던 아이들에게 방송을 맡겼습니다. 귀여운 그 목소리가 귓가에 아직도 선합니다!
