밥, 그 밥 한 그릇의 사랑이여 용서여

여보야

밥 안 먹었지

이리 와서 밥 같이 먹자

김이 난다 식기 전에 얼른 와서

밥 같이 나눠먹자

마주 보면서 밥 같이 나눠 먹으면

눈빛만 보고도

지난 오십 년 동안 침전된 미운 앙금은

봄눈 녹듯이 녹아 내릴 것 같애

우리 서로 용서가 될 것 같애

여보야

새벽에 너무 어두워

밥솥을 열어 봅니다

하얀 별들이 밥이 되어

으스러져라 껴안고 있습니다

별이 쌀이 될 때까지

쌀이 밥이 될 때까지 살아야 합니다

그런 사랑 무르익고 있습니다

밥, 먹을래?

*버케는 함경도 사투리로 부엌을 말한다고 한다. 엄마의 고향은 충남 공주이신데 나는 충청도 사투리라 하는 부섴과 정지라는 말은 모른다. 그러나 버캐라는 말은 기억한다. 나는 엄마 등에 업혀서 서울로 올라왔다고 하는데, '버캐 가서 무엇을 가져오라'라는 말을 어린  시절 들었던 기억이 용케 남아있다.
