국제학생도 받는 미국 대학들의 성적 우수 장학금 <3>
1학년 등록한 유학생 100%에게 100% 학비를 지원하는 학교
지난번에 아메리칸 대학교와 앰허스트 대학의 성적우수 장학금을 소개했다. 오늘은 또 다른 대학의 성적 우수 장학금을 소개한다.
Berea College의 국제학생들을 위한 장학금이다.
재정보조/장학금에는 주로 세 가지 다른 종류의 재정 지원이 있다. 재정보조/성적 우수 장학금, 근로 장학금, 대여 장학금 등이다. Berea 학생 재정 지원국은 모든 학생들의 등록금을 충당하기 위한 재정보조를 해 준다. 그 밖에 예상되는 가족 공헌도(EFC)에 근거해 식사와 주거를 커버할 수 있도록 돕기 위한 지원금도 지급된다.
베레아 칼리지(Berea College)는 미국에서 유일하게 입학 첫 해에 등록한 유학생의 100%에게 100% 자금을 지원하는 학교다. 이러한 재정적 지원과 장학금의 결합은 등록금, 기숙사비, 이사회, 그리고 수수료의 비용을 커버한다.

베레아 칼리지에서는 국제교육을 중시하는 대학 동문 및 친구들의 아낌없는 기부로 가능해진 다양한 해외교육 장학금과 장학금을 제공한다. 이러한 많은 장학금과 보조금은 국제교육센터가 관리한다. 외국어 전공자와 미성년자는 외국어학과에서 자금을 지원받을 수 있다(아래 목록 참조).

<국제학생이 제출해야 할 입시 서류들>
▶International Application for Admission and Scholarship form.
▶International Personal Essay and Essay Cover Sheet.
▶Copy of official secondary school records. DO NOT SEND ORIGINALS.
▶Personal Statement of Financial Circumstances.
▶International Financial Questionnaire (IFQ).
▶International Financial Recommendation Form.
▶Two (2) Admission Recommendation forms, at least one of which should be written by a current or former teacher.
▶Copy of official scores from at least one of the following exams: TOEFL, IELTS, ACT or SAT. You should register and take the test early in order include a copy of your scores in your packet and to meet the deadline.
*Test Score Requirement: All applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency by submitting results from one of four examinations (TOEFL, ACT, SAT, IELTS). We understand that the administration of these exams has been suspended in many countries. Students who remain unable to register for one of the four accepted exams in their home country on September 15 may email askadmissions@berea.edu to request permission to submit results from an alternative proficiency examination. Students who live in a country where testing has resumed as of September 15 will be required to submit results from one of the four accepted exams.
