Gil: What are you talking about?
Andriana: We should stay here. It's the start of La Belle poque! It's the greatest, most beautiful era Paris has ever known.
Gil: Yeah, but about the '20s, and the Charleston, and the Fitzgeralds, and the Hemingways?
Andriana: I mean, I love those guys. But it's the present. It's dull.
Gil: Dull? Adriana, if you stay here though, and this becomes your present then pretty soon you'll start imagining another time was really your... You know, was really the golden time. Yeah, that's what the present is. It's a little unsatisfying because life's a little unsatisfying.
Andriana: 난 1920년대로 안돌아갈거에요
Gil: 그게 무슨 말이죠?
Andriana: 우리 여기 살아요. 황금시대의 시작이에요. 파리 최고의 전성기에요.

Andriana: 난 그들을 사랑해요. 하지만 그건 현실이잖아요. 지루해요
Gil: 지루해요? Andriana, 당신이 여기 머물면 여기가 현재가 돼요. 그럼 또 다른 시대를 동경하겠죠.
상상속의 황금시대. 현재란 그런거에요. 늘 불만스럽죠. 삶이 원래 그러니까.
