Mastern Investment Management Publishes 2024 Integrated Report with Enhanced ESG Disclosure

Mastern Investment Management, a leading alternative investment firm based in Korea, has released its 2024 Integrated Report – Investment in Sustainability, significantly expanding the scope and depth of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) disclosures.

The report covers not only ESG strategies and performance, but also internal control and risk management systems—boosting transparency and accessibility for stakeholders. Mastern first introduced an ESG report in 2022 and has since evolved its structure into a decentralized format that separates financial and non-financial information. The 2024 edition further upgrades the report’s usability and information granularity.

The Corporate Report is now structured into three sections: Company Overview, Business Operations, and Investment Strategy—detailing Mastern’s Fund Management Committee (FMC), investment and risk processes, and research methodology, underscoring its expertise as a top-tier player in Korea’s alternative asset management market.

The ESG Report includes governance systems, ESG policies and outcomes, climate risk responses, cybersecurity, safety protocols, and internal control enhancements. A newly introduced ESG Fact Book organizes key data in a concise and reader-friendly format.

Notably, the firm has strengthened its materiality assessment process, refining issue definitions to align with its business model and selecting survey participants more strategically to improve evaluation credibility.
