Never pretend to a love which you do not actually feel, for love is not ours to command. To have faith is to trust yourself to the water. When you swim you don't grab hold of the water, because if you do you will sink and drown. Instead you relax, and float. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

실제로 느끼지 못하는 사랑을 사랑인 척하지 말라. 사랑은 우리가 좌지우지할 수 없으므로. 믿음을 갖는다는 것은 물에 자신을 맡기는 것이다. 우리가 수영을 할 때 물을 꼭 붙잡지는 않는다. 그렇게 한다면 물에 빠져 익사할 것이기 때문이다. 대신에 우리는 느긋한 마음으로 물에 떠 있을 뿐이다. 변화를 이해하는 유일한 길은 변화에 뛰어들고, 함께 움직이고 함께 춤추는 것이다.
