나무와의 밀당

황칠나무와 몇 주째 밀당 중이다.
두 나무를 만난 시기는 일 년 가까이 차이가 난다.
우 황칠은 재작년, 좌 황칠은 작년 봄인 듯하다.
황칠나무는 S자 모양으로 키우는 경우가 종종 있어, 처음에는 잘 휘는 도톰한 철사를 감고 있었다.
키가 쑥쑥 자라는 편이 아니라서 처음엔 철사를 그냥 두었는데, 시간이 지날수록 나무를 강하게 옭매는 것 같아 철사는 없애 버렸다.
그렇다고 해서 줄기가 바로 꼿꼿해지지는 않을 모양이다.
좌 황칠과 우 황칠 둘 다 겨우내 초록 잎이 색이 진해지고 두세 장의 낙엽만 만들 뿐 생장은 멈췄더랬다.
삼월까지는 둘 다 새 잎사귀와는 인연이 없어 보였는데, 사월이 되면서 달라졌다.
선배인 우 황칠이 새싹을 선보였다.
선배의 반갑디 반가운 변화에 좌 황칠은 모르쇠 모드로 일관했다.
우 황칠은 쑥쑥 크고 있는 오늘, 좌 황칠은 여전히 꼬물거리고 있다.
후배가 선배 따라 쑤욱 새싹을 뽑아 줄 것인지, 더 짬을 볼 것인지 조금 헷갈린다.
이대로 밀당에 지고 싶지 않다.
좌 황칠의 성장에 믿음 한 스푼 더 하면, 혹?
I have been pushing and pulling with the Hwangchil tree for several weeks.
The time when I met the two trees was almost a year apart.
I think I bought the tree on the right the year before last and the tree on the left last spring.
Since Hwangchil tree is often grown in an S-shape, at first it was wrapped with thick wire that bends easily.
Since it doesn’t grow very tall, I left the wire as is, but as time passed, it seemed to be squeezing the tree too much, so I removed the wire.
Even if I did that, it doesn't look like the stem will straighten up right away.
Both the tree on the left and the tree on the right had dark green leaves all winter, and they only produced two or three fallen leaves, and then stopped growing.
Until March, neither of them showed any new leaves, but things changed little by little in April.
The tree on the right, which is the senior, showed new buds.
The senior was really changing, but the tree on the left seemed uninterested.
The tree on the right is still growing well today, while the tree on the left is still just squirming.
I am confused as to whether the junior will follow the senior and show new sprouts or hesitate more.
I don't want to lose to this push and pull.
What if I add a spoonful of faith to the growth of the tree on the left?
黄漆の木（ファンチルナム）と数週間も駆け引きをしている。
二つの木を買った時期は一年ほど差がある。
右の木は一昨年、左の木は去年の春に買ってきたらしい。
黄漆の木は S字型に育てる場合がしばしばあり、最初はよく曲がる厚手の針金を巻いていた。
背がぐんぐん伸びる方ではないので針金をそのまま置いたが、時間が経つほど木を強く縛り付けるようで針金はなくしてしまった。
そうしたからといって、木の幹がすぐにまっすぐになるわけではなさそうだ。
左の木と右の木の両方とも冬の間ずっと緑の葉が色が ダーク になり、2～3枚の落ち葉を作るだけで、生長は止まっていた。
3月までは両木ともに新しい葉は全く見せなかったが、4月になって少しずつ変わった。
先輩の右の木は新芽を見せてくれた。
先輩が本当に素敵に変わっているのに、左の木は無関心のようだった。
右の木は今日もすくすく育っている反面、左の木は依然としてくねくねと音を立てている。
後輩が先輩に従って若芽を見せるのか、もっとためらうのか、混乱する。
このまま駆け引きに負けたくない。
左の木の成長に信頼をもう一さじしてあげたら、もしかして？
밀당은 본디 텐션을 유지하면서 밀고 당기는 맛.
지금은 밀려 주는 척.
곧, 당길 기회가 오길 바란다.
