행복을 습관처럼

Happiness by Natalie Carlson

What are you thinking of, my pretty girl?
" I'm thinking how happy I am," she said.
And what is your happiness, my pretty girl?
"Oh, flowers, and spring, and sunshine,"
she said. “And what will you do,
when the flowers are dead?”
" I'll try to be happy without them," she said.

Claude Monet, Woman with a Parasol - Madame Monet and Her Son, c.1875

National Gallery of Art, Washington, USA

Sarah's scribbling #1.

One sunday afternoon, when the sun was spreading its beams, gave myself up entirely to read a book for my students in my classroom. While turning over the pages of the book, I found 'Happiness'.

Suddenly, this lovely poem talked to me about things that make me smile.

A happy thought knocked on my heart. I was surprised by Joy. And then I looked through the window, making a hearty laughter. Looking all around, I was lost in my thought for a while.Even it was very usual scenery, i felt an epiphany!

I'm sure that the world is filled with a number of good things! If we have an eye for beauty, we can enjoy every grace around us.

Someone said: 'most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.' Yes. I've always made up my mind to be happier since that day. ^___^
