'Tiny kids' series (일명: 쪼꼬미 아이) by 박형진
‘타이니 키즈’시리즈는 본인의 기존 작업에 등장하던 ‘아이’의 더 어릴 적 모습이라고 할 수 있다. 아이 뿐만이 아니라 화면에 등장하는 동물 식물들 모두가 어리고 귀여운 형태를 하고 있다. 이는 현재 본인이 돌보고 있는 동물들의 어린 시절을 상상하여 그린 것이다.
최근 흰 털이 부쩍 늘어난 녀석들을 바라보며, 녀석들의 어릴적 모습을 상상해 보곤 한다. 동네를 떠돌던 강아지, 전 주인을 버리고 날 간택한 고양이. 지금은 모두 산전수전 다 겪은 늙수구리한 성견, 성묘지만 이 녀석들도 한때는 앳되고 귀여움 넘치는 어릴 적이 있었을 것이다. 누군가는 볼품없는 똥개, 똥냥이라고 하지만 내게는 여전히 귀엽고 사랑스러운 녀석들이다.
박형진作_멍멍이랑_2022_acrylic on canvas_45.3x45.3cm동그란 얼굴, 까만 눈의 조그만 아이는 단순한 디자인의 옷을 좋아하며 특정한 형태의 머리스타일을 고수한다. 이 아이는 동물들을 사랑하고 여러 동물들과 같이 살고 있다. 위험에 처한 동물들을 구조하기도 한다. 개, 고양이, 새와 청설모 등 집 주변에 살고 있는 동물들에게 문제가 생겼을 때 주저 없이 도움을 준다. 학대당하고 고통받는 동물들에게도 관심이 많다. 강아지들을 산책시키고 고양이를 쓰담쓰담하는 일은 무엇보다 중요한 일이다.
아이는 오늘도 동물 친구들의 먹이를 챙기고 다친 새를 안아 주고 고양이를 쓰다듬고 강아지를 산책시킨다.

'Tiny kids' series by Hyungjin Park
The ‘Tiny Kids’ series is a younger version of ‘Child’, which appeared in my previous works. All of the animals and plants in the picture are young and cute. I drew by imagining the childhood of the animals I am raising.
Recently, looking at the animals with their white fur, I imagine their childhood. A dog wandering around the neighborhood, a cat who abandoned its former owner and chose me. Now it's an old dog and an old cat. But these animals must have once been cute babies. Some say they are ugly dogs and cats. But to me, they are still cute and lovely guys.
Tiny kids with round faces and black eyes like clothes with simple designs and stick to a specific hairstyle. These kids love animals and live with many animals. They also rescue endangered animals. It helps when animals living around the house, such as dogs, cats, birds, and squirrels, are in danger. They care for animals that are abused and suffering. Walking with the dogs and patting the cats is important.
Today, Tiny Kids feeds the animals, hugs injured birds, pats cats and goes for walks with the dogs.
