14. 이는 신 광야에서 회중이 분쟁할 때에 너희가 내 명령을 거역하고 그 물 가에서 내 거룩함을 그들의 목전에 나타내지 아니하였음이니라 이 물은 신 광야 가데스의 므리바 물이니라
14. for when the community rebelled at the waters in the Desert of Zin, both of you disobeyed my command to honor me as holy before their eyes.” (These were the waters of Meribah Kadesh, in the Desert of Zin.)
The consequence of disobedience looks very severe, in particular, to Moses, who did obey God from the beginning, although he refused to lead the people from Egypt by making excuses of not saying well. However, his life was amazing because he led the Israelites very well. He acted like their father and he must have been a great leader in their history and throughout all human history as well.
The difference of obedience and disobedience doesn't seem very important, but the result of it is very clear. If Moses' disobedience were to be compared to my life of disobedience, I am not going to Heaven, which must be a terrible thing to me. Yet, it could be truly possible as He has told and warned many times about the results of obedience and disobedience.
Father, let me truly and absolutely obey Your Word and follow the way of eternal life by unswaying faith and through the Spirit of God, I pray in Jesus name, amen.
