8신명기(Deu) 3장
25. 구하옵나니 나를 건너가게 하사 요단 저쪽에 있는 아름다운 땅, 아름다운 산과 레바논을 보게 하옵소서 하되
25. Let me go over and see the good land beyond the Jordan—that fine hill country and Lebanon.”
26. 여호와께서 너희 때문에 내게 진노하사 내 말을 듣지 아니하시고 내게 이르시기를 그만해도 족하니 이 일로 다시 내게 말하지 말라
26. But because of you the LORD was angry with me and would not listen to me. “That is enough,” the LORD said. “Do not speak to me anymore about this matter.
27. 너는 비스가 산 꼭대기에 올라가서 눈을 들어 동서남북을 바라고 네 눈으로 그 땅을 바라보라 너는 이 요단을 건너지 못할 것임이니라
27. Go up to the top of Pisgah and look west and north and south and east. Look at the land with your own eyes, since you are not going to cross this Jordan.
That is enough!
God looks like a Dad who is angry at his children, who wouldn't listen to parents, but why at this moment of going into the land that they had seeked for long, exactly 40 years. They must have wanted eagerly to put their feet on it, the Canaan, the land of milk and honey.
However, it wasn't allowed to them, including Moses, who had played as the greatest leader in the history of the Isralites. Why even him? Besides, the Jordan river was not wide enough for them to cross over, compared to the other severe battles they had experienced until that time.
He tells them, "That's enough!" In this one simple sentence, I could feel like what He is going to tell them and us. From the Exodus to this moment, or from Abraham and Jacob, or from the beginning to the end, He had stood long and He is and will keep patient with our disobedience, unfaithfulness, and complaints, etc.
When i hear this voice again face to face, it would be for sure the end of this universe as He is the beginning and the end, alpha and Omega. The very time of His coming is getting closer and closer, Father's ticking off me, or praising me, saying "A good Girl".
I never know what He would say to me, but I really want to be the latter one. Then, I would have to be encouraged and strengthened in my heart and know for sure what commission I have for this new year and achieve it. Opportunities and responsibilities are given again to me, which is to praise Him with my voice and musical instrument, such as a key board, guitar, and so on.
