그러실 분은 없겠지만, 행여나 tongue 을 그냥 "혀"로 직역하는 큰 실수가 없으시길 바랍니다.

영어는 Romance language 들에서 파생된 언어라지요? 저는 노래와 많이 연관을 지어 감성의 선을 유지하고자 한 지가 꽤 오래 됩니다. 고등학교시절부터니까요. 들어왔던 American pop 이나 country 등의 노래들 중 이 전설적인 노래의 가사와 음의 조화는 다른 곡과는 다른 깊은 매력을 느끼게 해 줍니다.
Korean-American, 즉 Asian male 이 American country songs 중 가장 핵심에 있는 "Spanish is a Loving Tongue" 를 듣기 좋아한다면 참 아이러니합니다만, 이 노래, 기타연주와 Michael Martin Murphy 의 목소리만 들리는 이 노래를 고전 서부영화를 보고 있다는 상상을 하면서 들어보세요. 특히 밤 늦게 듣는 이 노래의 맛을 누군가는 아시길 희망해봅니다.
