기쁜 소식

아주 오래전 바울이라는 사람이 있었습니다.
바울은 사람들에게 예수에 대해 전하고 싶었습니다.
그래서 바울은 로마 사람들에게 예수에 대한 이야기를 편지로 썼습니다.
이 편지는 오늘날 성경에서 읽을 수 있게 되었습니다.
사람들이 예수에 대한 기쁜 소식을 알게 되기를, 바울은 바랐습니다.
'가스펠(gospel)'은 예수에 대한 기쁜 소식을 뜻하는 말입니다.
예수는 사람들을 죄에서 구하기 위해 이 세상에 왔습니다.
죄는 사람들이 저지르는 잘못입니다. 자신이 하고 싶은 것만 하고 하나님의 뜻은 따르지 않는 것입니다.
예수는 아기로 세상에 태어났습니다. 그는 십자가에서 죽은 후 다시 살아났고, 그로 인해 사람들은 하나님과 함께 영원히 살게 되었습니다.
이것이 기쁜 소식입니다.
이것이 가스펠(gospel)입니다.
바울은 이렇게 썼습니다, ‘예수는 하나님이며 우리를 죄에서 구원했습니다. 이 기쁜 소식이 바로 가스펠(gospel)입니다.’
A long time ago there was a man named Paul.
Paul loved to tell people about Jesus.
Paul wrote letters to tell people in Rome about Jesus.
That letter is in the Bible today.
Paul wanted everyone to know the good news about Jesus.
'Gospel' is another word for the good news about Jesus.
Jesus came to save people from their sin.
Sin is all the bad things people do.
Sin is doing what we want to do and not what God wants us to do.
Jesus came to earth as a baby. Jesus died on a cross and came alive so people can live with God forever.
This is good news.
This is the gospel.
Paul wrote, 'The gospel is the good news that Jesus is Lord and the Savior from sin.'
