Camellia‘s Whisper

눈밭 위 별 내리는 그녀의 목소리는

녹턴 1번 내림나단조

발이 하얀 고양이와 귓속말한다.

고양이가 묻는다,

너의 은하는 어디에 있니?

새벽같이 하얀 손으로 입을 가리고, 그녀는 소곤소곤

"리본을 모아둔 서랍 속에,

오후 2시 낮잠 속에,

너의 파란 눈동자 속에."

하얀 동백 꽃잎 같은 수백 개의 그림자 위에 앉아,

떠나온 은하를 색연필로 그린다.

“너의 은하는 어디에 있니?” 그녀의 속삭임에

고양이는 꼬리를 말고 낮잠 속으로,

그르릉 그르릉—

시가 된 고양이에 하늘색 리본을 단다.

조용조용 무릎 위의 시를 만진다.

Her voice, falling like stars upon the snow,

whispering to a white-footed cat.

The cat inquires,

Where is your galaxy?

With dawn-like pale hands veiling her lips, she murmurs,

“Within the drawer of ribbons,

At two in the afternoon nap,

In the depths of your azure eyes.”

Sitting among myriad shadows like white camellia petals,

Sketching the galaxy she has abandoned with colored pencils,

“Where is your galaxy?” At her whisper,

The cat curls its tail and succumbs to slumber,

Purr purr—

She adorns the cat, now a poem, with a sky-blue ribbon.

Gently, softly, she caresses the poem resting upon her lap.
