세상의 빛
요한복음 13

예수가 성전에서 사람들을 가르치고 있었습니다.
예수는 그들을 죄에서 구하기 위해 하나님이 자신을 보냈음을 사람들이 알기 원했습니다.
예수가 사람들에게 다시 말했어요, "나는 세상의 빛이다. 나를 따르는 사람은 어둠 속에 있지 않고 생명의 빛을 갖게 될 것이다."(요한복음 8:12)
빛은 우리가 보게 해 줍니다. 예수는 사람들이 진리를 알기 원했어요.
유대 지도자들이 소리쳤습니다, "당신의 말은 진실이 아니오."
예수가 말했습니다, "내 말은 진실이다. 나는 거짓을 말하지 않는다. 하나님 아버지가 나를 보내 이를 말하게 하셨다. 하나님은 거짓말하지 않으신다."
하나님은 죄를 없애기 위해 예수를 보내셨습니다.
예수가 죄 없이 십자가에 달린 것은 세상의 죗값을 치르기 위함이었습니다.
그리고 그는 다시 살아났습니다. 사람들은 죄와 함께 죽지 않아도 되었습니다.
예수를 믿으면 더 이상 죄 가운데 죽지 않을 것입니다.
예수가 말했어요, "나를 보낸 분이 나와 함께하신다. 내가 언제나 그분이 기뻐할 일을 하므로 그가 나를 혼자 버려두지 않으신다."
많은 사람들이 예수의 말을 믿었습니다.
예수가 말했습니다, "너희가 내 가르침대로 살면 진정한 내 제자가 될 것이다. 그러면 진리를 알게 되고, 그 진리가 너희를 자유케 할 것이다."
Jesus was in the temple. He was speaking to the people.
He wanted them to understand God sent him to save people from their sin.
"When Jesus again spoke to the people, he said, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.' " - John 8:12.
Light helps us see. Jesus wants people to see what is true.
Some of the leaders shouted, "You are not telling the truth."
Jesus replied, "Yes, what I say is true. I do not lie. And God the Father in heaven sent me to say these things. God the Father does not lie."
God sent Jesus to defeat sin.
Jesus did not sin. Then Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for everyone's sin.
Afterward, he became alive again. People would not have to die with sin on them.
If they believe in Jesus, they will not die with sin on them anymore.
Jesus said, "The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him."
Many people believed what Jesus said.
Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
