제자들의 발을 씻어주는 예수

유월절 전날이었습니다.
예수는 자신이 십자가에서 죽고 부활하여 아버지에게로 돌아갈 것을 알았습니다.
예수와 제자들이 함께 식탁에 앉았습니다.
식사 중간에 예수가 일어나 겉옷을 벗었습니다.
그는 수건을 가져오고 대야에 물을 부었습니다.
예수가 제자들의 발을 씻어주고 나서 수건으로 닦아 주었습니다.
자신이 얼마나 그들을 사랑하는지, 예수는 제자들이 알기 원했습니다.
베드로의 차례가 되자 그가 말했어요, "주님, 제 발은 절대 씻지 마십시오."
예수가 베드로에게 말했어요, "내가 네 발을 씻지 않으면 너는 내 제자가 될 수 없다."
예수는 제자 모두의 발을 씻어 주었습니다.
그는 수건과 대야를 치우고 나서 다시 식탁으로 돌아왔습니다.
예수가 제자들에게 물었습니다, "내가 너희에게 한 일을 이해하겠느냐?"
예수는 그를 따르는 모든 사람들이 서로 섬기기를 원합니다.
It was just before the Passover Festival.
Jesus knew he would die on the cross, come alive again and go to his Father in heaven.
Jesus and all of the disciples sat together at the table.
While they were eating, Jesus stood up and took off his robe.
He got a towel and poured water into a bowl.
Jesus washed each disciple's feet and dried them with the towel.
Jesus wanted his disciples to know how much he loved them.
It was Peter's turn. Peter said, "Lord, you should not wash my feet."
Jesus told Peter, "If I don't wash your feet, you cannot be my disciple."
Jesus washed the feet of every disciple.
He put away the towel and the bowl, and went back to the table.
Jesus asked his disciples, "Do you understand what I have done for you?"
Jesus wants all his followers to serve one another.
