예수와 제자들이 식탁에 둘러앉아 있었습니다.
예수가 말했습니다, "너희를 사랑하지만 나는 곧 떠난다. 너희는 나와 같이 갈 수 없다. 서로 사랑하고 서로 보살펴 주어라."
베드로가 물었어요, "어디로 가십니까? 저는 왜 갈 수 없나요?"
예수가 말했습니다, "슬퍼하지도 두려워하지도 말라. 나를 믿으라. 나는 아버지와 다시 함께 살기 위해 집으로 가는 것이다. 너희가 있을 곳을 마련하러 간다. 너희도 우리와 함께 살 수 있게 될 것이다. 때가 되면 내가 와서 너희를 데리고 가겠다."
도마가 말했어요, "우리는 당신이 어디로 가는지 모릅니다. 어떻게 그곳으로 가는지도 모릅니다."
예수가 대답했습니다, "내가 길이고 진리고 생명이다. 나를 통하지 않고는 아무도 아버지께 이르지 못한다."
예수의 십자가 죽음과 다시 살아남으로 인해 사람들은 그와 함께 영원히 살게 되었습니다.
예수는 하나님이므로 그가 말하고 행한 모든 것을 믿을 수 있습니다.
그는 약속을 지킵니다.
Jesus and his disciples were sitting around the table.
"I love you so much, but I will leave soon," Jesus told his disciples. "You cannot come with me. You must love one another and take care of one another."
Peter asked Jesus, "Where are you going? Why can't I come?"
Jesus said, "Don't be sad or afraid. You can trust me. I am going home to live with God the Father again. I am going there to make a place for you. You will be able to come live with us. When it's time, I will come and get you."
Thomas said, "Jesus, we do not know where you are going. We do not know the way to get there."
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Jesus died on the cross and came alive again so people can be with him forever.
People can believe everything Jesus says and does because Jesus is God.
He keeps all his promises.
