We were passionate and fierce.

We were endless and doubtless.

We were persistent and brave.  

We were hopeful and forgiving.

Friend, this magical potion that we drank was love.

That same potion made us desperate and jealous. Made us question and doubt. And sadly sometimes it made us into tiny cowards.

Let us remember that love is a powerful potion. Always handle it gently with caution for it may change us eternally.

Let us also lift ourselves up from all the love we shared, from all the passion and hope, jealousy and doubt, sadness and memories.

And let us not forget to be forgiving and generous to our souls, hurt and bruised, dried and barren, grey and cold.  

Indeed our souls are incredibly resilient like the trees and flowers patiently waiting for spring,

joyful like the chirping birds and dancing butterflies, and colorful like the rainbows decorating the big blue sky.

Friend, this is who we really are.

그때 우리는 열정적이고 치열했습니다.

우리는 무한하고 아무 의구심도 없었습니다.

우리는 끈기 있고 용감했습니다.

우리는 희망적이고 서로를 용서할 줄 알았습니다.

친구여, 우리가 마신 이 마법의 물약은 사랑이었습니다.

그 같은 물약이 우리를 필사적이고 질투하게 만들었습니다. 우리에게 질문과 의심을 하게 만들었습니다.

그리고 슬프게도 때론 우리를 작은 겁쟁이들로 만들었습니다.

그러므로 친구여, 사랑은 강력한 약이라는 것을 기억하세요. 그것은 우리를 영원히 변화시킬 수 있으므로 항상 주의를 기울여 조심스럽게 다루세요.

그때 우리가 나누었던 사랑의 모든 모습들,

열정과 희망, 질투와 의심, 슬픔과 기억들로부터

우리 자신들을 일으켜 세워봅시다.

그리고 상처받고 멍들고 건조하고 메마르고 회색빛으로 차가워진 우리 영혼을 용서하고 관대하게 대하는 것을 잊지 맙시다.

우리의 영혼은 봄을 애타게 기다리는 나무와 꽃처럼 대단한 회복력을 갖고 있으며,

노래 부르는 새와 춤추는 나비처럼 즐겁고,  

크고 푸른 하늘을 장식하는 무지개처럼 다채롭습니다.

친구여, 이것이야말로 바로 우리의 참모습입니다.
