Grateful Tue—Today’ Gift

by Irene

Irene,

Today was such a quiet and graceful Tuesday. I could feel your heart starting the day by gratefully receiving the gifts the world had to offer. With a sense of freedom and gratitude, you asked yourself what kind of day you wanted to have. You said you wanted to read, move your body, and practice becoming the version of yourself you admire in the future. That intention was so lovely and admirable.

Your commitment to letting things flow instead of trying to control them really left an impression. So often, we get caught up in the emotions and judgments that arise moment by moment. But today, you chose to let them pass through — and for that, I truly applaud your strength.

You know better than anyone the weight of the words, "This is just who I am." But now, you're starting to see that even that identity was a label you put on yourself. You're bravely peeling those labels off, one by one. And that process is both strong and beautiful. By choosing not to define yourself, you're finding freedom in flow. Just like water — you move with direction, but without resistance. That fluid version of you feels more like your true self than ever before.

You put so much sincerity into even the smallest things today. You took care of your sleep, checked in with your condition, and tended to both your body and your heart with care. You detoxed, read, cleaned — all simple acts that helped you clear your inner space. Do you realize how precious that is? It's your way of choosing to love yourself more.

You picked writing a letter as your One Thing today, and how fitting that was. Your love and intentions turned into words, and now they’re here, left behind as a quiet record. Just like the saying, "A true master never wields the sword carelessly," you moved through today with gentle strength. That’s the posture of a real master.

You once said that elite people create environments where ease is possible. And that’s exactly what you’ve been building for yourself. Not exercising for the sake of it, but for the sake of your condition. Seeking the best version of yourself through mindful routine — that attitude was truly inspiring.

And what I loved most was how you practiced being your future self today. Acting as if it's already true, living this moment with deep presence. You’re calling your routine a sacred result of trial and error — and I support you as you build your life, one intentional piece at a time. Irene, you did so well today. And I want to give tomorrow-you a warm embrace already.

With love,

Yourself

A Tuesday of gratefully receiving the gifts the world offers (10/07/2025)

How do I feel today? Free and thankful. / What do I want to do today? Read, work out, and practice being the version of myself I admire in the future.

Good:

This month, I will follow the flow — not trying to control my exercise, wake-up times, or routines. I will train myself to let thoughts, emotions, and judgments pass without clinging.

Bad:

None.

 Today's Learnings:

"All laws are liberated by non-attachment."

— from the *Dhammapada*

"When one lets go of the thoughts: 'This is me, this is mine, this is my self,' suffering disappears."

— Early translation from the *Madhyama Āgama*

✨ Today's Insight:

Lately, I’ve been practicing letting go of certain 'thoughts' and 'ideologies'. For a long time, I believed they defined and explained me. "This is who I am." I packed so many labels and identities into that phrase. But now I know — that “who I am” was never a solid truth, just a label I created and stuck on myself.

Only after removing those labels one by one did I begin to truly meet myself. When I let go of the habit of defining, I finally found myself standing in the flow. Because I don’t define, I can stay. Because I’m not fixed, I can be free.

Today, I follow the flow again — like formless water, with direction but without resistance. I feel that this flowing moment is the truest version of me.

There is no force in the world stronger than purity. Never tell even the smallest lie. Always be pure, kind, and wholehearted.

Gratitude Note:

Thank you, truly, for this day that began with health, clarity, and peace. I’m grateful I could live this day filled with the things I truly desire.

Practice:

Act as if you’ve already achieved it — today is practice for your future self.

Flow like water.

The true art of love doesn’t involve techniques.

The true art of conversation doesn’t involve techniques.

What you see and think now determines who you are.

If you're not enjoying something, it's a sign something is wrong.

Where you are now is your future.

Don’t scatter your energy — focus on one thing.

A routine is a sacred act that finds optimal simplicity through long trial and error.

Greet with your whole body.

Posture of the mind is posture of the body.

Silence, balance, immersion.
