성경은 하나님의 말씀입니다.
성경은 "약속의 책"이라고도 할 수 있습니다.
하나님은 옛사람들과 지금의 사람들 모두를 향해 약속하셨습니다.
여기, 아브라함과 그의 아내 사라에게 하나님이 하신 약속에 대한 이야기가 있습니다.
아브라함과 사라 사이에는 아이가 없었습니다.
그들은 아기를 원했습니다.
하나님은 아브라함과 사라가 아들을 낳게 될 것이라고 약속하셨습니다.
"어떻게 그럴 수 있을까요?" 아브라함이 물었습니다. "저도 사라도 아기를 낳기에는 너무 늙었습니다."
하나님이 아브라함에게 말씀하셨습니다, "밖으로 나가보자. 하늘을 보고 그리고 별을 세어보아라."
아브라함이 말했습니다, "주님, 저 별들이 너무 많아서 제가 다 셀 수 없다는 걸 당신은 아십니다."
그러자 하나님이 아브라함에게 말씀하셨습니다, "너의 가족이 저 별들과 같아질 것이다. 그 누구도 다 셀 수 없을 만큼 너의 자손이 많아질 것이다."
아브라함은 하나님을 믿었습니다. 그에게는 하나님이 약속을 지킬 것이라는 믿음이 있었습니다.
아브라함과 사라가 나이가 많음에도 불구하고, 마침내 하나님은 그들에게 아들을 주셨습니다.
아브라함과 사라는 하나님의 약속이 이루어지자 몹시 기뻤습니다.
The Bible is God's true Word.
The Bible could also be called "the book of promises."
God made promises for people long ago and for people today.
Here is a promise story God made to a man called Abraham and his wife Sarah.
Abraham and Sarah did not have a child of their own.
They wanted a little baby to love.
God promised Abraham and Sarah would have a son.
"How can this be?" Abraham asked, "I am old, and Sarah is old. Our bodies cannot have babies."
God said to Abraham, "Come outside with me, Abraham. Look up at the sky. Try to count the stars."
Abraham said, "Lord, you know I cannot count all these stars. There are too many."
God said to Abraham, "I promise that is how your own family will be someday. There will be so many people in your family, no one will be able to count them all."
Abraham believed God. He had faith that God would keep His promise.
God gave Abraham and Sarah a baby son even though they were very old.
Abraham and Sarah were so happy when God's promise came true.
