I Am Enough As I Am, Monday (03/24/2025)
How are you today?
I am cutting off my worries and finding stability.
What would you like to do today?
Reading, exercising, and practicing becoming the person I admire in the future.
Good:
This morning, I woke up feeling great and had a restful sleep, so I was excited for the day. However, when I started my routine, the writing wasn't flowing well, and my mind felt a bit foggy. Well, life is like that. Some days are like this, and some are different. On days like today, I’m trying to go with the flow, not resist, and relax into the day naturally. Right now, it's enough.
Bad:
This week is my break, so I’ve been adjusting my workout to maintain my condition. I realized how important it is to take a rest at least once a week. From now on, I will make sure to rest once a week to fully recover. It’s been a valuable lesson that ultimate self-care lies in true rest.
Today’s Lesson:
“We are not infinite beings who can endure everything, no matter how strong we are. Sometimes, creating distance is wise.” — Seneca
Through a conversation with my parents today, I had an important realization. As Seneca said, we are not infinite beings who can endure everything, and sometimes, it’s necessary to maintain both physical and emotional distance. There are times when my parents' worries and expressions hurt me, and their words continue to shake my heart. In such moments, it becomes clear to me that instead of simply accepting their words, it is necessary to distance myself emotionally in order to protect my heart.
I’ve come to realize that no matter how friendly someone’s words are, I don’t have to accept them all. Not every word should have meaning for me, and just because something affects my emotions, I don’t have to carry everything inside and bear it. It could be arrogant and self-destructive to do so. To protect my heart and maintain healthy relationships, sometimes it’s necessary to filter those words and create space.
Today’s Realization:
When my parents express their worries and speak to me, I used to feel a compulsive need to accept their words and respond. However, today I realized that choosing not to accept those words is also a way to protect my heart. Sometimes, hearing less is how I can remain unshaken and take better care of myself. Through this experience, I learned that even the strongest person cannot endure everything. Sometimes, taking a step back and choosing to protect my heart is the wisest decision. If there are words that are too much for me to bear, selectively not accepting them is a way to protect myself.
Gratitude Note:
I am truly grateful that today, I can start my day healthy and refreshed, living a day filled with the things I desire to do.
Today’s Joy:
Today's one thing: Detox day.
